理论依据：核心素养
基于主题意义的初中英语单元整体教学是促使英语学科核心素养目标落地课堂的重要抓手。本文在分析传统单元教学中存在问题的基础上，依据整体语言教学理论，探讨主题意义引领下的单元整体教学策略。
教学策略：
结合实际教学案例，提出在整体设计初中英语单元教学时，采取以下策略：提炼单元主题意义，注重单元内容的关联；从知识和技能本位转向素养本位，实现课程育人；科学设置问题链，体现思维进阶发展；构建评价多元化，发挥以评促学、以评促教功能。
单元主题研读
人与他人（学校组织的游览活动）
单元目标
1.可以掌握学习出游相关的词组和句型，掌握一般过去时的构成和用法
2.可以用一般过去时描述已经发生的事，能够区分不同的动词变过去式的规律和规则
3.可以通过记忆词快来学习词汇；能根据动词的过去式推测动词原形，尝试归纳动词过去式的变化规律。
4.了解国内外学校组织的各种游览活动，开阔眼界，活跃思维。
教材分析：
1a-1c 部分围绕着学校组织的农场之行，展开着重描述了乡村生活。这些内容对于城市学生来说会显得陌生而有趣。这部分先通过主题图呈现了两个学生谈论学校的农场之行，介绍了农场的各种活动，呈现相关动词短语。接下来的听力活动则是为了让学生感知如何就过去发生的事情进行谈论对话中呈现一般过去时和一般疑问句及答语，以便在口语活动中进行模仿2a-2c拓展了相关农场和乡村生活的话题，围绕学生的所见所闻展开听说活动，呈现一般过去时的陈述句一般疑问句特殊疑问句和相关答语等。2d的示范对话谈论的是乡村旅行对话中提供了更为丰富的生活信息，以及表达用语供学生模仿输出。本部分的grammar focus梳理了一般过去时态的用法，包括谓语动词分别为be动词和实义动词的一般过去时的陈述句，一般疑问句及其回答。还呈现了部分规则动词和不规则动词的过去形式。
课标要求
课程标准三级要求学生有明确的学习需要和目标，对英语学习表现出较强的自信心。三级目标中关于听、说的相关要求： 1.能听懂学习活动中连续的指令和问题，并做出适当的反应。 2.能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段。
3.能在课堂活动中用简短的英语进行交际。 4.能就熟悉的话题进行简单的交流。
5.能在教师的指导下进行简单的角色表演。 6.能在上述口语活动中做到语音、语调基本正确。
学情分析
本课时是Unit 11 How was your school trip 的第1课时。本节课话题贴近现实生活，以旅行活动为话题。这也为本课的学习及在真实情境中解决问题打下了基础。七年级大部分学生能够做到课前预习，能够独立思考，具备在教师和小组交流中积极思考，但是仍有少数学生不具备基本的预习能力以及缺乏思考问题的条理性、深度、严谨性。
学习目标
1.通过预习检测，准确拼读新单词，为听力训练做铺垫。
2.通过听力训练，能够运用动词的过去式来描述发生过的事情。
3.通过对话练习，运用并巩固“Did sb. do sth /What did sb. do ”句型。
4. 通过角色扮演，正确讲所学短语及句式运用到情景对话中去。
