Step 2 Warming-up 1.Show one picture of the story The Emperor’s New Clothes. 2.Ask some questions about it. Step 3 Presentation 1.Present the new words on the big screen and learn them together.2.Let the students read silk, emperor, underwear, gold, stupid, cheat and try to remember the new words. Step 4 Matching Work on 1a: 1.Ask one student to read the words in 1a. Tell the students to match the words with the letters in the pictures in 1c. 2.Let some students show their answers. Then check the answers together. 3.Try to remember the new words. Step 5 Listening Work on 1b: Work on 1c: 1.Let the students read the sentences in 1c first. Tell them to listen to the recording and fill in the blanks with the right words. 2.Play the recording again for the students to listen and check their answers. 3.Check the answers with the class.
