(2) You’re welcome. 意为“不客气;不用谢”,用于回答别人的感谢。
e.g. —Thank you. 谢谢。
—You’re welcome. 不用谢。

辨析everyone与every one
everyone 是一个词,只用来指人,习惯上,后面不能跟介词of。 Everyone wants to see the film.每个人都想看这部电影。
every one 两个词,既可用来指人,也可用来指物,后面可跟介词of。 Every one of us is here.

“first of all” 表示“首先”,常常放在句首。
e.g. First of all, let me introduce my friends Mike to you.
首先,让我把我的朋友麦克介绍给你。
lose为动词,其过去式为lost。lost也可作定语置于名词前,意为“丢失的”。
常构成短语:lost and found box 失物招领箱。
3. There are a lot of things in it. 里面有很多东西。

there be 句型的基本构成是:There be+名词(可数名词或不可数名词)+地点或时间状语。表示 “……有……”。其be动词的单复数形式采用就近原则,即be动词与离它最近的主语在数上保持一致。
e.g. There is a book on the desk. 桌子上有一本书。
There is a bottle of orange juice and some oranges on the desk.
桌子上有一瓶橘子汁和一些橘子。
Are my crayons there too 是there be句型的一般疑问句形式,其答语为:
肯定回答:Yes, there are. 否定回答:No, there aren’t.
a lot of 意为“很多”,用于修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词。
e.g. A lot of time has been wasted. 有许多时间给浪费掉了。

A lot of people have been present. 已有许多人到了。

4. —Whose bag is this 这是谁的包?
—Oh sorry! It’s mine. 哦,不好意思!是我的。
—Whose tapes are these 这些磁带是谁的?
—They’re mine. 它们是我的。

这两句是由疑问词whose引导的特殊疑问句。whose意为“谁的”,表示所属关系,在句中既可单独使用,也可与名词连用。其答语用名词性物主代词或名词所有格。
e.g. —Whose T-shirt is this = Whose is this T-shirt 这是谁的T恤衫?
—It’s hers. / It’s Sally’s. 是她的。/是萨利的。

【注意】其谓语动词的形式由主语来决定:
主语是可数名词单数或不可数名词时,谓语动词用单数形式;
主语是可数名词复数时,谓语动词用复数形式。
4. —Whose bag is this 这是谁的包?
—Oh sorry! It’s mine. 哦,不好意思!是我的。
—Whose tapes are these 这些磁带是谁的?
—They’re mine. 它们是我的。

① Betty’s 是名词所有格形式,由 “名词+ ’s” 构成,表示所属关系;
② 如果名词是有生命的复数名词,且以 s 结尾,那么后面只加 ’ 即可;
③ 当表示共有关系时,只在最后一个名词后加 ’s;
④ 但当表示各自拥有时,则分别在两个名词后加 ’s。
e.g. Mr Zhao is these students’ English teacher.
赵老师是这些学生的英语老师。
Lucy and Lily’s mother 露西和莉莉的妈妈 (表示共有的)
Tom’s and Jack’s rooms 汤姆和杰克的房间 (表示各自的)

5. Everyone, please be careful with your things from now on.
从现在开始请大家小心保管自己 的物品。
be careful with…” 意思是“小心……”, 此时的be careful 等同于 look out。
e.g. Please be careful with your money.
请小心保管你的钱。
“from now on” 表示“从现在开始”。
e.g. From now on, students need much more time to rest.
从现在开始,学生们需要更多的时间休息。

6. Let me see… 让我看看……
let sb do sth 意为“让某人做某事 ”。后加动词不定式或动词原形构成的短语有:
(1) ask sb to do sth 要求某人做某事
(2) tell sb to do sth 叫某人做某事
(3) help sb (to) do sth 帮助某人做某事
(4) allow sb to do sth 允许某人做某事
