英语高考读后续写指导-“三个句式” 搞定情感描写
人物的情感随着故事的发展而变化，从而体现人物的性格。在续写中，需要关注并延续情感线索, 进而凸显人物的性格、升华文章的主题。与此同时，情感描写也使得文章的细节更生动，充分实现 “情节与细节” 并行推进，体现出文章的精彩度。大部分学生对于情感描写词语匮乏，词不达意，手法单一，故此，特将其总结为三个句型，帮助更多的同学。
万能句式一：adj 1 and adj 2, 主句，doing… / 独立主格结构
句式来源：Tired and hungry, he went home, not saying a word.
他回到家里，又累又饿，不想说一句话。
用法示例：
1. 他站起身来领奖。
He stood up to accept the prize.
句式升级：Surprised and delighted, he stood up to accept the prize, feeling proud. 又意外又开心，他站起身来去领奖，感到非常自豪。
2. 他交了很多朋友。
He made a lot of friends.
句式升级：Modest and easy-going, he soon made a lot of friends, getting along well with them. 因为谦虚，随和，他很快交到了很多朋友，并和他们相处地很融洽。
3. 我们早早在校门口集合。
We gathered at the school gate early.
句式升级：Eager and enthusiastic, we gathered at the school gate early, chatting and laughing all the time. 满怀热情和渴望，我们早早就在校门口集合，又说又笑。
用法体验：
1.非常兴奋，我们全神贯注地和同学商讨着并写下我们的建议，希望能帮助解决这个问题。
Excited and whole –hearted, we were discussing with our classmates and writing down our suggestions, hoping to help solve the problem.
2.极度惊讶和困惑，我一篇接一篇地看着日记，每一篇表现的主题都很相似。
Greatly surprised and confused, I read diary after diary, each expressing a similar theme.
3. Thrilled and enraptured, Jane quickened pace and sprinted to the helicopter, knowing that she would be rescued eventually. 简欣喜若狂，加快了步伐，向直升机冲去，她知道自己终于获救了。
4. Satisfied and content, my sister stared at the flowers, regarding them as the most marvelous work in the world. 心满意足的，姐姐看了看这些花，认为它们是世界上最奇妙的作品。
用法实战：
1. 既害怕又无助，他一动不动站在那好一会，不敢相信刚才发生的一切。
Scared and helpless, he stood still for a moment, not believing what had just happened.
2. 又绝望又疲惫，Jane 跪了下来，眼泪顺着她的脸颊流了下来。
Desperate and exhausted, Jane knelt down, with tears rolling down her cheeks.
3. 我们好奇而兴奋, 迫不及待地想要和外国学生交换礼物，以表达我们彼此真挚的友谊。
Curious and excited, we couldn’t wait to exchange gifts with the foreign students，conveying our sincere friendship to each other.
4. 非常兴奋，我们全神贯注地和同学商讨着并写下我们的建议，希望能帮助解决这个问题。
Excited and whole –hearted, we were discussing with our classmates and writing down our suggestions, hoping to help solve the problem.
5. 句式改造He walked into the classroom. (害怕)
Cautious and even a bit scared, he swiftly slipped into the quiet classroom, bag on back and sweat on forehead.
万能句式二：量词 + 表情感状态的名词 + 动词 + sb
常用量词：a burst / wave / flood / surge / sense of…
常用动词：seize, grasp, take hold of，crawl／creep爬，swallow吞噬，well up涌出，surge 涌动，sweep over 冲；卷，overwhelm充溢，压倒
用法示例：
1. 当她知道考试结果时，她兴奋极了。
When she knew the result of the test, she felt excited.
句式升级：The instant she was informed of the result of the test, a surge of excitement seized her.
2. 她伤心不已。
She felt extremely sad.
句式升级：She was seized by a burst of sadness and couldn’t help crying bitterly.
3. 我感到很害怕。
I felt very scared.
句式升级：I was seized by a strong sense of horror with my palms sweating.
用法体验：
1. 看着他自信的微笑，我的心中也涌起了喜悦。
At the sight of his confident smile, a sense of joy swept over / flooded over me.
2. 听见他说的话，Alice咧开嘴笑，一股幸福的浪潮涌上她的心头。
Hearing what he said, Alice grinned from ear to ear, a wave of happiness flooding over her.
3. 电话里，听见他的话，我羞愧得低下头, 一阵愧疚向我袭来, 脸上发烫。
Hearing his words on the phone, I hung my head shamefully, a wave of guilt sweeping over me with my face burning.
句式变化：doing…, sb. felt a great sense of + 情绪名词+ welling up in sb’s heart and surging through sb, doing… “某人感到一股强烈的......在内心升腾、奔涌。” 句首可以加上doing sth，表示这种情绪产生的原因；句尾可以加上doing sth或which, 表示这种情绪产生后的结果。
1. Seeing his husband chatting with a beautiful girl, Jane felt a great sense of jealousy welling up in her heart and surging through her，throwing the tea cup at the girl.
2. Seeing his daughter safe and sound, he felt a great sense of relief welling up in his heart and surging through him.
3. Swing their skirts and imaging they were the most attractive women at the ball, the wives felt a great sense of pride welling up in their heart and surging through them.
万能句式三：（doing…），so + adj / adv +部分倒装 + that…, (doing…)
用法示例：
1. Jane忍不住哭了。
Jane couldn’t stop crying.
句式升级：Recalling the scene, so regretful was Jane that she couldn’t stop crying, tears sparking out her eyes.
回想起那一幕，简非常后悔，忍不住哭了起来，泪水夺眶而出。
2. 小鹿很害怕。
Spotting this, so frightened was the deer that she shivered and trembled all over like a leaf.
看到这儿，小鹿吓得像一片叶子一样浑身颤抖。
3. 看到那头狼，我很害怕。
Catching sight of the frightening wolf, so scared did I feel that my throat tightened and my knees felt weak.
看到那头可怕的狼，我吓得喉咙发紧，两腿发软。
用法体验：
1. 保罗回想起这些伤人的字眼，气得暴跳如雷，重重地摔门而去，头也不回地大步走开。
Recalling these hurtful words, so irritated was Paul that he stormed out and slammed the door heavily, striding away without looking back.
2. 杰克激动得走上舞台，给了妻子一个温暖的拥抱。
So thrilled was Jack that he stepped into the stage, giving his wife a warm hug.
技法综合体验：
1. 听到这个好消息，他开心地跳起来，眼睛像星星一样闪烁。
Hearing this good news, he jumped up in happiness, with his eyes sparkling like shining stars.
2. 亲眼看到他的榜样, Jayce开心到说不出话来，只能站在那里，嘴巴张的很大。
Seeing his role model in the flesh, Jayce was too thrilled to say a single word but stand here with his mouth open wide.
3.跟老师讲出真相后，她不安地坐在座位上，手指交叉着，心跳得像打鼓一样。
Having told the teacher the truth, she sat restlessly in her seat with her fingers crossed and her heart pounding like a drum.
4. 用灼热的目光怒视着我，他几乎控制不住自己的怒火，声音因愤怒而颤抖。
Glaring at me with burning eyes, he could hardly/scarcely contain his rage, his voice trembling with anger.
5. 觉得冷得无法忍受，精疲力竭，完全不知道该如何应对这种可怕的情况。
Feeling unbearably cold and extremely exhausted, Jane was quite at a loss as to how to cope with the terrible situation.
6. 一瞬间，泪水涌上眼眶，我感动的说不出话。
In a flash, with tears welling up in my eyes, I was touched beyond words.
7. 听到这话，Bob感到很尴尬，扭动并使劲揉搓他的手，似乎是想在这刺骨的冬日里取暖。
On hearing this, Bob became embarrassed, twisting and rubbing his hands () over and over again seemingly to get warm in this freezing winter.
8. 从未想过我会陷入如此的两难境地，我感到无比尴尬和恐慌。
Standing frozen as ice, never had I thought about being trapped in such a dilemma that I was flooded with overwhelming awkwardness and panic.
素材积累（转）
1.开心：
Learning the children’s idea, Mrs. Meredith was so 1. overjoyed (高兴的) that she smiled brightly. Then, the children got down to preparing popcorn 2. cheerfully (高兴地). With a basket of popcorn, they left for the Bernard’s 3. joyfully (高兴地) to share with Bernard the good plan. Hearing what they said, Bernard 4. danced with joy (高兴地雀跃), with tears filling his eyes. At the sight of the basket of popcorn, his parents were also 5. seized with joy (非常高兴). Later, 6. much to his delight (另他非常高兴的是), the popcorn was so tasty that it soon sold out. He soon returned, his whole face 7. beaming with delight（高兴得满脸通红）. 8. Laughter lingered around the room. (笑声在房间里萦绕）
2.伤心
I was selected to represent my school in the approaching contest this year. But I was so proud that I neglected the importance of practicing for the contest. On the day of the contest, I began to lose confidence in myself and suffered from stage fright. In the end I walked off the stage, 1. my eyes filled with tears (眼里饱含泪水).Finally, results were announced after the contest. I did not win any prizes. I bit my bottom lip 2. with sadness filling her heart (心里充满悲伤). I dragged my heavy legs 3. with a sinking heart (心情沉重) and moved out of the lecture hall. 4. I hung my head in sadness, great sorrow clouding my eyes (我伤心地垂着头，巨大的悲伤笼罩着我的双眼). On entering the classroom, 5.disappointment and sadness came in waves and tears streamed down my cheeks（悲伤如潮涌，泪水从脸颊滑落）. The next following days, I felt like she was 6. floating in an ocean of sadness. (我感觉正漂浮在悲伤的海洋里), not wanting to do anything.
3. 生气
The door opened and in came a young man. Shocked to see us packing things into our suitcase, the young man 1. let out a yell of anger, with his eyes shining with annoyance（愤怒地大叫了一声,眼里闪烁着恼怒的光芒。）. 2. He was in a furious passion, and went stamping about（他大发雷霆，跺着脚走来走去）. He accused us of illegally entering his room and threatened to call the police, which scared my children to death. Just at that moment, my husband returned after his grocery shopping. Hearing the man's rude words, 3. a fire of rage burning in his heart（一股怒火在心中燃烧）. It seemed that no settlement would be possible, and the situation reached a boiling point. 4. Quarrels fueled his anger and he erupted like a volcano（争吵如火上浇油，于是他的愤怒就像火山一样爆发了）. Eventually, 5. unable to contain his anger, my husband stormed out of the room, slamming the door furiously behind him（无法控制心中的怒气，我丈夫气得冲出房间,狠狠地摔上门）.
4.害怕
The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp, which was surrounded by a high wire fence. He pulled and bit the wire. He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence posts. 1. A burst of horror held me entirely in its power, and I was unable to move an inch (恐惧喷薄而出，将我紧紧包围，我已经寸步难行了). 2. Extremely frightened/panicked, I felt my legs trembling and my palms sweating (惊恐不已,我觉得两腿发抖,手心冒汗). Beside me was my wife, who was rooted to the ground, 3. who was rooted to the ground, frozen with fear (吓呆了). At the sight of the polar bear’ bloody mouth, 4. she was nearly dead with fright (吓得要死）.The furry creature launched an attack on the fence, instantly leaving a narrow opening on it. 5. We felt that the blood in our body froze (我们感觉浑身血液凝固了）because of the terrible sight. Our throats tightened and our knees felt weak. Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew. We yelled at the bear, hit pots hard, and fired blank shotgun shells into the air.
5. 紧张
When I finished her testing performance, I thanked Mr. Butler and knew the result would be posted on the door of the choral room the next day.1. I couldn’t fall asleep , tossing and turning in bed for a whole night（我在床上辗转反侧了一整夜，无法入睡）By the next morning, I hurried to the school and 2. nervously（紧张地）glanced at the list on the door of the choral room, 3. feeling as if my heart were in my mouth (感觉好像我的心都提到嗓子眼儿了）. There, at the top of the list was posted my name. Inspired, I practiced even harder for the day of performance. Finally the day for the performance came. When I was standing backstage, 4. nervousness/tension came flooding over me (紧张感席卷全身）.When my name was called I could 5. feel butterflies in my stomach (我感到心里忐忑不安）. My trembling legs brought me onstage, and I could 6. feel my palms sweating and heart racing (我手心冒汗,心跳加速。）. The hall crowded with audience made me even more 7. uneasy（不安的）. 8. My heart was pounding/thumping hard, as if it were about to pop (我的心扑通扑通地好像要跳出来了). At that moment, my eyes parked on Mr. Butler at the corner. He nodded and exchanged a determined glance with me, which timely put my heart back in place. With the music rising, I began my singing. When I finished, the auditorium erupted into a sea of cheers.
6.感动
The next day we remembered the brand-new tent we had brought with us. We decided to camp along the river. The views on the journey were surprisingly beautiful, 1. a wave of excitement taking hold of Mom (妈妈激动不已). Every time we got to a new place，Mom could hardly 2. contain her excitement (抑制兴奋), and would 3. cheer up (振奋起来) like a child. She would get off the car, laughing and dancing around 4.with excitement (兴奋地).The moment we arrived at the camping place, 5. letting out a scream of thrill (激动得尖叫起来), Mom located a clearing and immediately guided us to pitch the tent 6. With eyes glittering \twinkling with excitement (眼里闪着激动的光芒)，we sat on the grass, enjoying the splendid nature.
7.尴尬
By now we were standing in the long holiday line to pay the bill. and I figured it was a good chance. I threw myself on the ground, screaming, “l want that telephone.” over and over again. “Becky, you’d better get up at once”, my mother said with a trembling voice, 1. embarrassment written in her red face (涨红的脸上写满了窘迫).Turning a deaf ear to her, I was still in full tantrum. 2. feeling the blood rushing to her face (羞愧不已), my mother stood there, 3. feeling the blood rushing to her face (觉得血液涌上脸颊). She suddenly lay down beside me on the floor, likewise kicking and screaming out for a string of such items as she was eager to possess. Seeing that, 4. I became increasingly embarrassed and could feel my heart thumping wildly, my face burning badly (我越来越尴尬，能听见自己心跳加速的声音，脸烧得厉害). 5. All the air seemed to disappear and I felt as if the whole world was watching us (所有的空气似乎都消失了，我觉得整个世界都在注视着我们). “Mama, stop. Mama, get up.” I tearfully pleaded. She gave me a look and rose up, brushing the dust from her clothes.
8.惊讶
I threw myself on the ground, screaming, “I want that telephone.” Over and over again. All the Christmas shoppers looked on 1. in astonishment（震惊地） . 2. A spark of surprise flashed across my mother’s face（脸上闪过一丝惊奇）, she ordered angrily, "Get up right now." Turning a deaf ear to her, I was still in full tantrum. 3. What shocked me was that（令我震惊的是） was that my mother suddenly lay down beside me on the floor, likewise kicking and screaming out for a string of such items as she was eager to possess. Seeing that, I was 4. numb with shock, as if rooted to the ground（我呆住了，动弹不得） . All the on-lookers glued their eyes to us, 5. with jaws dropping to the ground（惊掉下巴）. 6. Dumbfounded（目瞪口呆） initially, they then burst into thunderous applause, showering praise on my mother.
