音节
定义:以元音为主体构成的发音单位,一般说来元音发音响亮,可以构成音节,辅音发音不响亮,不能单独构成音节。
音节划分
元音是构成音节的主体,辅音是音节的分界线
两辅音之间不论多少元音,一般都是一个音节(beat)
有两个辅音字母时,一个辅音字母归前一音节,另一个归后一音节(win/ter)
两元音字母之间有一个辅音字母时,辅音字母归后一音节(stu/dent)
不能拆分的字母组合按字母组合划分音节(fa/ther)

开音节/闭音节/重读音节/弱读音节
1. 开音节
以发音的元音字母结尾或以元音字母+辅音字母(r 除外)+不发音的e结尾的音节叫开音节。例如:be,he,make,like
2. 闭音节
以一个或几个辅音字母(r 除外)结尾的音节叫闭音节。例如:map,is,desk
3. 重读音节和弱读音节
一个单词中读音较重的音节叫重读音节。单音节词都是重读音节,双音节和多音节词中一般有一个重读音节,其他的是弱读音节。
在开音节中,元音发本音。在闭音节中,元音发短音。
