2) no longer 不再；不复
通常位于实义动词之前，助动词、情态动词或系动词之后
有时可用not … any longer 或 not … anymore替换
e.g. 杰克不再是学生了。(翻译)
Jack is no longer a student.
= Jack isn’t a student any longer / anymore.
【语境应用】同义句转换。
1) People are no longer interested in movies.
People are not interested in movies any longer / anymore.
2) He doesn’t live here any longer.
He no longer lives here. / He doesn’t live here anymore.
4. My daughter was more understanding, although she also felt sad to part with certain toys. 我的女儿更能理解一些，尽管她也觉得要和某些玩具分开很伤心。
1) part v. 离开, 分开
part with 放弃; 交出(尤指不舍得的东西)
e.g. Don’t part with your dream. 不要放弃你的梦想。

1) They chatted happily for a while.
2) He kept in touch with us while he was on vacation.
他们高兴地聊了一会儿。
他在度假期间仍与我们保持联系。
e.g. When you get married, will you give up your job
你结婚后会不会辞去工作
Officials say they won’t give in to the workers’ demands.官员们表示他们不会屈服于工人的要求。
give up: 指行为者碰到某种困难或原因而自己主动放弃；
give in: 指行为者屈于某种压力而被迫按别人的要求去做， 侧重于屈服。
