教学目标： 通过图片对比，让学生感知科技发明对人类生活方式的改变以及给人们生活带来的好处，激发学生对科技话题的兴趣； 通过略读，根据语篇特点和关键词，帮助学生了解语篇结构和主旨大意； 通过精读，利用思维导图帮助学生梳理古今中外一些伟大的发明，带领学生探究发明的原动力；强化学生利用关键词在文中找到信息支撑，从而正确判断人物观点态度。 借助语篇和视频，利用小组合作探讨新发明存在的意义，引导学生思考一项好的发明应该具备的特点，鼓励学生尝试用新的科学发明改变自己的生活，培养学生的科学创新精神和批判性思维。

What else inspires people to invent things Choose the sentences that describe Dr Fairhurst’s opinions and tell the reasons . 通过精读，提取文中关键信息，了解古今中外一些伟大的发明以及发明的原动力。并能运用阅读技巧在文中找到各个观点阐述的信息句,从而正确判断人物观点态度。
Step IV Post-Reading Play a video and lead students to talk about: what kind of invention is good Enjoy the video and work in groups to talk about the question: What kind of invention is a great invention 利用视频，让学生意识到并非所有的发明都是好的发明，学生利用小组合作探讨什么样的发明才算得上是好的发明，培养学生的科学精神和批判性思维。
