Staff at the Thai Dynasty restaurant in Singapore never thought they’d receive such a huge
tip during the COVID-19 pandemic (流行病), when economic condition seemed hard, let
alone one as big as $600. But believe it or not, they did.
What was more surprising, however, was the person who left that massive tip for them. It wasn’t from a customer who was feeling extra generous that day. No, it was Jesse, a food delivery rider who came by to pick up an online order.
Being a familiar face among the staff due to frequent orders from the restaurant, the
delivery rider wanted to show his best appreciation for their hard work in ensuring orders are prepared on time every time he comes by to pick something up. Along with the tip, he also left a heartfelt written note.
“Hello! I am writing to you all because I am very happy with your food and friendly

From a young age, many of us learn the benefits of being an extrovert —those individuals
who always seem to be the life and soul of the party, often outspoken and able to express their

While thinking of an extrovert, we imagine a character who is determined, approachable, cheerful and charming. We are taught to admire these personalities early on. Kids are often
encouraged to interact, play and communicate with other children. It seems at times as though
children are made to have a more outgoing lifestyle, with some people becoming false extroverts introverts who copy extrovert behavior. While externally they may seem to enjoy
the company of others, or being in the center of public attention, they can still become
over—extended in intense social situations.
So, while the positive aspects of being an extrovert are plain to see, what are the benefits of introversion Although extroverts depend on social interaction, introverts are more comfortable with levels of isolation. According to Dr Berit, a college professor, extreme isolation such as times like the lockdown, does not affect introverts as much as extroverts. Lack of social contact, something extroverts rely on, can lead to depression, loneliness, and even death.
But it’s not just in an extreme situation that an introvert shines through. These people seem
to have more time for deep thought and thus can become more balanced. They also tend to be good listeners and think before they speak, meaning they could become great friends. Finally, introverts are often fantastic observers, as sitting out of the focus can give them more time to watch the behavior of others.
So, whatever your personality, either introvert or extrovert, there are clear advantages to
being either, and if you meet an introvert, you might just end up with an amazing friend.

M: Everybody here is very kind to me but there are times when I think of home and
get rather sad. I sometimes get a little tired of English cooking. Once a week I go to
Soho. Soho is a part of London where there are all sorts of restaurants, French，
Italian,Greek，Spanish,Indian, and Chinese. So when I'm tired of English cooking,I go
to one of the Soho restaurants.Sometimes I even have a bottle of wine! Wine isn't
cheap in England. It isn't something we drink every day.
English people do not talk as much as we do. I've often traveled by train and

nobody has spoken to me during the journeys. I know one Englishman who is
unusual, he speaks seven languages. He can also be silent in seven languages! But
I've found one way to make him talk. He's interested in mountain climbing. If I ask
him about climbing, he's always ready to talk.
