设计意图： 通过教师个人过去经历的重大事件和学生的结对活动，导入文章主题。

Step 2 Reading
1.Skim reading.
Ask the students to read the title and first sentences of each paragraph and
try to find the answer to the following questions:
(1) What was Robert Allen doing when Dr. King was killed
(2) Which day will Kate Smith never forget
2.Fast reading
Read the passage quickly,and answer the two questions:
(1) What are the two events in the passage
(2) When did it happen
Check the students' answers.
3. New words.
Show the chinese meanings and phonetic symbols of the new words
on the PPT. First let the students pronounce the new words aloud according to the phonetic symbols
by themselves, then check their pronunciation,and offer help if necessary.
4. Detail reading
Read the passage carefully and finish the tasks in 2c and 2d.
Check the students' answers.
