Step 4 Language points Explain language points 1. turn. . . into 变成 turn. . . into意为“将……变成……”turn into意为“……变成……”
2. excite v. 使激动; 使兴奋 excite动词, 意为“使兴奋, 使激动”, 多用物作主语。excited形容词, 是由excite+d构成。意为“兴奋的, 激动的”。只作表语, 修饰人。exciting形容词, 意为“令人兴奋的、令人激动的”。可作定语、表语, 只用于修饰事或物。
3. so. . . that 与so that的区别 so+形容词或副词+that. . . 引导结果状语从句, 意思是“如此……以至于……”。如: When the football fans saw Beckham, they got so excited that they cried out. so that引导目的状语从句时, 表示“以便; 为了”, 从句中常使用can/could/may/might/will/would/should等情态动词或助动词。如: The little boy saved every coin so that he could buy his mother a present on Mother’s Day. Listen to the teacher carefully and take notes. 讲解一些重要的语言点的用法以便让学生更好地理解所学内容

Step 5 Grammar Focus 1. Ask students to read the sentences in the chart for three times. (Grammar Focus) 2. Discuss and finish the usages of the word or phrases in groups: ①unless是连词, 意为除非; 如果不, 引导条件状语从句, 含有否定意义, 相当于if not。 注意: unless引导条件状语从句时, 如果主句是将来时, 从句用一般现在时。 如: We’ll go to the concert unless it doesn’t rain. ②as soon as是连词词组, 引导时间状语从句, 意为一……就……。 as soon as引导的时间状语从句中, 若主句是将来时, 从句用一般现在时。 如: My brother will look for a job as soon as he leaves school. ③so. . . that表示如此……以至于……, 常用于引导结果状语从句。常见结构为“so+形容词/副词+that从句”或“so+形容词+a/an+单数名词+that从句”。 如: He was so excited that he couldn’t say a word. 1.
