Step 3 First ReadingThe teacher has students read the script and finish Part A on Page 12. When discussing the answers, the teacher guides students to do some character analysis. Mommy says … 阅读剧本,提取有关故事情节、人物关系、性格的信息。
Step 4 Second readingThe teacher asks students to imagine themselves as the characters and read aloud the lines with appropriate intonation and emotion. Ask the following questions to help students: How to show that Forrest Gump is simple How to show that Jenny is direct 进一步揣摩台词,用恰当的语言表达人物性格。
Role play
Step 5 The teacher divides students into groups and asks them to role-play the excerpt. The teacher can ask two groups or more to act it out in class. 利用角色扮演,让学生展现对剧本的理解。 10’Group work
