Step 1 Warm-up
Greeting:
T:Good morning ,boys and girls .Are you happy today
Ss:Yes.
T:How are you today
Ss:I’m fine ,thank you .
T:So let’s begin our class with ABC song,OK
Ss:OK!
Step 2 Lead in/Preview
Sing ABC song.
Do the exercises(Express the sounds of the letters in words)
Step3 Presentation
1.Talk.
T:How many letters are there in English
Ss:26
T:We have 5 friends .Do you know what they are
Ss:Aa,Ee,Ii,Oo,Uu.(Teacher write them on the blackboard)
T:We have 5 vowels,and the other 21 are consonants.
Play a game:
Sharp eyes: Teacher shows the letters ,then students read the sound of the letters with body language.
Clap hands:Read the letters from Aa to Zz, clap hands when we meet the vowels.Then introduce our friend “Oo”
Tell students what is closed syllable according to two pictures.
T:What’s this
Ss:It’s a hamburger.
T:The bread is the consonant,and the meat in the middle is the vowel.
Show the picture of pizza,and use the same way to teach closed syllable.
Show four pictures of “dog,box,orange,body”.
Use the body language to show the sound of the letters in the words ,then try to spell the words out.Such “Dd,Dd,Dd,/d//d//d/,Oo,Oo,Oo,/o//o//o/,Gg,Gg,Gg/g//g//g/./d/-/o/-/g/dog.
Use the same way to teach box and body,then orange is special.Then let’s have a PK between boys and girls.And ask some students to read ,spell the words.Reward the good performance.
Listen to the tape,and follow the tape.
Step 4 Practice
Try to read the words .
Play a game:(金字塔拼读游戏)
Guessing game:One student comes to the front and see the word on the card,then the other students guess the word according to the student’s body language.
Step 5 Homework
Listen to the tape on page 40.
Write words of closed syllable as many as you can.
