Mary led a fairly sheltered life and was quite shy. In every social occasion, her outgoing husband took the lead, striking up conversations with strangers. The courses were given in a library near their neighborhood. It would train learners to tell stories fluently and confidently. Mary and her husband arrived early before the first course began.
