《You Are My Sunshine》是美国乡村音乐家 Jimmie Davis的经典作品 。Davis 在1940年2月4日录制了这首歌，在发行后的一个月内在美国的销量超过了100万。在英国发行后，当时的国王乔治六世说这首歌是他的最爱。

1899年9月11日，Jimmie Davis出生于洛杉矶的比奇斯普林斯，原名是James Houston Davis。尽管出身于贫穷家庭，他凭借自己的努力和聪明才智获得了硕士学位，继而获得了路易斯安那州立大学的博士学位并开始在一个小学院教授历史。

构成：
主语 + 动词过去式 + 其他
标志词：

动词过去式的变化
1. 一般在动词词尾加-ed:
help-helped, look-looked, work-worked
2. 词尾为不发音的字母-e时，直接加-d:

3. 词尾为“辅音字母+y”时，变y为i，再加-ed:
try-tried, study-studied, cry-cried
4. 以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母，双写词尾辅音字母后加-ed:
