答案：Acupuncture is a Chinese medical treatment with a history of about 4,000 years, which probably dates back to the Stone Age. Over time, the needles have changed in material and shape. Today, acupuncturists mostly use fine sharp stainless steel needles. During a clinical visit, the acupuncturist examines the patient, including his or her skin, tongue, breath and pulse, before pushing needles into different points on the patient's body. Acupuncture is used as a treatment for various physical and mental conditions, including severe pains，blood pressure issues, depression and anxiety. However, how acupuncture works is not fully understood, although there have been different theories to explain it. Nowadays, acupuncture is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. People have less doubt about its safety while taking more interest in it.

独立主格结构
(1)独立主格结构的定义
独立主格结构本身不是句子,在句子中作状语,表示时间、原因、条件、伴随、目的等。独立主格结构由两部分组成,前一部分是名词或代词后一部分是非谓语动词(不定式、动名词或分词)、形容词、副词或介词短语等,前后两部分之间具有一定的逻辑关系。
(2)独立主格结构的形式
A.名词/主格代词+现在分词(名词/主格代词与现在分词之间是逻辑上的主动关系)

2名词/主格代词 +过去分词(名词/主格代词与过去分词之间是逻辑
上的被动关系)

While用法
while 作并列连词意为“而；然而”表对比。
The south of the country grows richer, while the north grows poorer. 该国南方越来越富,而北方却越来越穷。
while还可以引导时间状语从句,意为“当……时候”,一般与延续性动词连用,从句动作与主句动作同时发生。
The computer system broke down suddenly while he was searching for some important international news.当他正在搜索一些重要的国际新闻时,电脑系统突然出故障了。
while 可以引导让步状语从句,意为“尽管”,一般放在句首,相当于although/though。
While my mother loves me very much, she is very strict with me.尽管我的妈妈很爱我,但是她对我非常严厉。
while 也可作名词,常与 a连用,意为“一段时间;一会儿”。常用搭配:once in a while(偶尔;间或);for a while(暂时;一会儿)。

Why is it necessary for people to learn some first-aid skills
First-aid skills are the basic skills that people learn to protect themselves when an accident occurs. In some extreme cases, a person may save another person’s life in an emergency. For example, if someone suddenly has a heart attack and there is no doctor around, a person with first-aid skills will know how to perform CPR to keep him or her alive before the ambulance arrives
