Step1 Presentation
Show a picture of flowers .Ask the students to describe them,
The flowers are very beautiful.
We can also say :
What beautiful flowers they are!
How lovely the flowers are!
The two sentences are called exclamatory statements.when we want to express our feelings of joy surprise,excitement,anger etc,we can use exclamatory statements.
Step2 Read and learn
What a beautiful voice the girl has!
What beautiful flowers they are!
What bad weather it is!
Read these sentences ,according to them,can you change some words to describe the picture on the right.
Yes. What a beautiful place it is!
How beautiful the place is!
What happy people they are!
How happy the people are！
Then describe the girl.
Step3 Rules
Now we can draw a conclusion:
What +a/an +adj+ +n(单数名词)+ S+V
What +adj+ +n(不可数名词)+ S+V
What +adj+ +n(复数名词)+ S+V
Read the following sentences together

Now we can draw a conclusion:

Try to compare the two sentences：
1 ___ a lucky girl (she is)!
2 ___ lucky( the girl is)!
为了不干扰我们的判断，我们可以把句子的主语和谓语去掉，看看剩下的是不是名词，如果是我们就用what;如果是形容词或者副词，我们就用how。
