学习目标：
通过阅读学生简介，获取和了解Ann和Thando的个人信息；
通过阅读学生简介，理清简介的主要内容和结构，把握简介写作的语言特点。
通过阅读学生简介，能够运用简介的写作结构进行口头的自我介绍。
教学重点：
学生可以读懂两篇学生简介，了解Ann和Thando的个人信息；
学生可以掌握简介的主要内容和结构，把握简介写作的语言特点。
教学难点：
学生能够运用简介的写作结构进行口头的自我介绍。
高考考点：关于人物介绍的写作
教学流程：
Step 1：lead-in(5mins)
Ask students questions:
How will you introduce yourself to others to leave a good impression
What kinds of aspects should be included
Purpose: to lead students to the topic of the lesson.
Step2:Read for information(25mins)
Activity 1:Ask students to read the two passages with some questions.
What is Ann like How do you know
What does “You'll never see me without a book or a pen”mean
Purpose:to lead students to gain information quickly.
Activity 2:Ask students to study the organization and language features.
Read the text to summarize what aspects should be included when writing a profile.
Suggested answers: A. Name, age, grade, school B. Personality
C. Favourite subject D. Learning style E. Hobbies
F. Future plans and dreams
(2)Read the student profiles and fill in the information from them.
Purpose:to let students know the structure of a profile and know the basic information about Ann and Thando.
(3) Circle the phrases that Ann and Thando use to describe their personalities and underline the sentences that they use to describe their learning styles.
