Step 1 Pre-reading Brainstorming Where did Jane go on vacation What did she do And she wrote two diary entries about her vacation. 【设计意图】通过Jane的视角来介绍马拉西亚并引出她做过的事情,可以将重点或难点词汇呈现让学生初步感知掌握。并通过写日记来引入话题,进入正文。 2.Read the first/second diary quickly and find out the places and activities. 【设计意图】通过更多的词汇拓宽视野,促使学生积极思考自己的出游感受并加深单词印象。 Step 2.While-reading Fast reading Read the first diary again and complete the chart. Can you retell Jane’s first diary
Read the second diary again and answer the questions. ①Why did they decide to take the train Because it started raining a little. ②Why did they wait a long time for the train Because there were too many people. ③Did they see anything special Why or why not No. Because of the bad weather, they couldn’t see anything below. ④Did they like the food Why or why not Yes. Because they were so hungry. 【设计意图】快速阅读,学生们迅速了解文章的内容,提高阅读技能 CAREFUL READING (1) Try to complete the mind map. 【设计意图】以构建思维导图的方式,帮助学生整体把握文章结构,进一步理解文章细节内容,提升学生总结能力。 (2)Read Jane’s two diary entries again.
