学情分析 在学习本单元之前，学生在七年级和八年级已经学习过一些中外节日的词汇和句型。而且对于本课时的学习内容，大部分学生已经有了一定的了解，而且中外节日是学生比较感兴趣的话题，这是学习本课的优势。另一方面，到了 九年级，学生在学习上出现了分化现象，有的学生英语语言基础薄弱，语言拓展的运用能力比较差，而且学习过程缺乏耐性。教师可以安排这些同学通过复习七年级和八年级相关内容，熟悉本单元话题，鼓励学生积极学习，激发学生学习兴趣。
核心素养教学目标 语言能力 能听懂谈论节日的对话；
学习能力 通过关于节日的对话理解和谈论节日的习俗，认识更多关于中外节日的习俗，培养听、说能力。
思维品质 通过关于节日的谈论，思考节日的寓意和传承；
文化意识 通过对中外节日的谈论，认识到中英文化的相似性和差异性；
教学重点难点 1.掌握重点单词的词义、词性、发音、固定搭配等； 2.学习使用感叹句来谈论对节日的喜好。 3.学习使用宾语从句来表述对节日的看法。
教学过程 Teacher’s Activities Students’ Activities Intention
Step1 Lead-in Ask a questions T:There are many traditional festivals in China，like the Chinese Spring Festival，the Dragon Boat Festival，the Lantern Festival and so on.Do you know when the festivals are and what people do on the festivals？Now please discuss with your partners in groups. Discuss and answer the questions and talk about their holidays. 以中国的传统节日为话题，学生易于接受，学习欲望比较强烈。同时让学生对中国的传统节日有更多的了解。
Step2 Pre-listeningI Work on 1a Task1:Ask the students to complete 1a individually first，then check the answers and read the descriptions in 1a with their partners. Task2:Ask the students to read the conversation in 1a，and try to describe pictures a－d in pairs.Then let some pairs present their conversations to the class. A：What a great day! What did you like best B：I loved the races! But I guess it was a little too crowded. Students can tell their ways freely with the partner. 为听力做铺垫。
Step3 While- listeningI Work on 1b Ask the students to read the sentences in lb，then play the recording for the students to listen and circle T for true or F for false.Play the recording a second time if necessary，then check the answers together. Do exercise in 1b: listen and write the letters for each one. 围绕中心话题，引导学生进行一定的语言学习与积累，并初步运用目标语言进行会话交流，从而对本单元话题、目标语言有一定的了解。
Step4 Post- listeningI Work on 1c：Ask two students to read the conversation in 1c to the class.Then ask the students to make other conversations to talk about the festivals in 1a.After that，let some pairs present their conversations to the class. Work in pairs to present their conversations. 本环节通过pair work这个活动，对本单元的基本句型进行机械操练，使学生能够脱口而出。
Step5 Pre-listeningII Present the new words stranger /streind (r)/ n. 陌生人 relative /rel tiv/ n. 亲属；亲戚 put on 增加（体重）；发胖 pound /paund/ n. 磅（重量单位）；英镑生 relative,relation,relations put on 增加（体重），发胖 put on 穿上 put on weight put on ten kilos pound n. 磅（重量单位）英镑（英国货币单位）增加10磅 put on 10 pounds The apples cost one dollar a pound. Learn new words 为听力做铺垫。
Step6 While- listeningII Listen2a～2b 2a：Ask the students to look through the sentences in 2a.Make sure they can understand the meaning of each sentence.Then ask the students to listen to the conversation between Wu Ming and Harry and circle the correct words in the sentences.Play the recording 2 or 3 times if necessary，then check the answers. 2b：Wu Ming did a lot of fun activities，but there were also downsides.Then ask the students to listen and fill in the chart individually.Play the recording 2 or 3 times if necessary.They should be allowed enough time to complete it.Check the answers together. Do exercise in 2a&2b 让学生提取和处理2a和2b所要求的相关信息，从而达到提高听力技能、技巧的目标。
Step7 Post- listeningII Work on 2c Ask students to read aloud the model conversation in 2c.Then let the students make conversations in pairs，using the information in 2a and 2b.Finally ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class. Make conversations using information from Activities 2a and 2a with a partner. 让学生能进一步灵活运用目标语言进行情景对话，提高语用能力、与他人合作交往的能力等综合语言素养。
Step8 Role－play Role－play the conversation in 2d 1.Let the students read the conversation individually and answer the questions： (1)What are the names of the girl and the boy in the conversation (2)What festival are they talking about 2.Play the recording and get students to listen and repeat，and then role－play the conversation. 3.Ask several pairs to act it out. 4.Let students make up their own conversation in pairs and act it out. Read and answer,then role-play the conversation. 加深学生对本课目标语言的理解和巩固，在阅读、会话交流的语言实践过程中，提高综合语言运用能力。
Step9 Make a summary Summarize the key points. Summarize the new words Teacher：Which new words you can say out immediately？ Students：... Teacher：Please tell me what information of the word you remember deeply. Can you spell it？ Students：... Summarize the phrases Teacher：Which phrase you can say out immediately？ Students：... Summarize the sentences Teacher：Please tell me the sentence structures. Students：... 回顾和总结本节课所学的单词、短语、句子。 强调重点单词、短语、句子；用奖励鼓励学生主动学习。
Homework 1．Remember the words and phrases in this lesson. 2．Make a conversation according to the conversation of 2d.
