Encourage them to share their thoughts and feelings about it.Introduce the topic of the lesson by saying, "In life, we often have to meet new people, whether it's at school, work, or social events. Today, we're going to talk about how to get to know new people in a polite and friendly manner."Key Vocabulary and Phrases (10 minutes)Display the PowerPoint presentation with key vocabulary and phrases related to getting to know new people. Examples include: introduce yourself, ask questions, make introductions, be friendly, etc.Discuss each word or phrase with the class, providing definitions and examples of how to use them in context.While-listening (15minutes)open textbook and follow the prompts to complete activity 1Listen to paragraph 1 and complete the table in Activity 2. Then check the answersListen to paragraph 2 and complete the table in Activity 3. Listen to the material again.
