Lesson 10 There is a horse under the tree
【教学目标】
1．知识目标:能理解和掌握 there be 句型的肯定句的用法,并能用替换词造句.掌握方位介词.
2．技能目标:通过对这一话题的学习,使学生能用简单的语言询问和描述"某处有某物".
3．情感目标:关注学生的内在需要,在活动中培养学生的协作精神和竞争意识,培养学生热爱生活的积极情感态度.
【教学重难点】
对 "There is/are…""What's on/under/in… " 的掌握.
理解并灵活使用 "There be" 句型的一般疑问句、否定句及其肯定与否定回答.
【教学过程】
Step 1 Warm-up
1．Free talk and greetings
2．Show a picture of a classroom, beside the picture, there are some words they have learned. Lead the Ss to make dialogues like this:
A: What can you see in the classroom
B: I can see a television.
A: How many desks are there in it
B: There is /are...
A: Is/Are there (any)…in the classroom
B: Yes, there is /are...
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1．Look at the pictures and learn the phrasal preposition:
on the desk, under the chair, in the box, behind the chair, in front of the bike…
2．Learn the sentences. (show the pictures)
（1）A: What is on the desk
B: There is a book on it.
（2）A: What is in the box
B: There are some pens in it.
3．Practice the sentence with "there is (are)"
4．Showing the picture of our school and talk about it in groups, then talk about it in the class.
5．Play a game.
Practice those sentences using the things in the classroom.
Step 3 Learn the dialogue
1．Listen to the tape and think with questions.
2．Answer some questions.
3．．Read after the tape.
4．Role play
Step 4 Consolidation
Point to some real things in the classroom and ask the students to practice the sentence with "there be".
T: What's in our classroom
S: There is/are…in our classroom.
T: What's on your desk
S: There is a book on my desk.
T: What's behind your chair
S: There is a desk behind my chair.
……
Step 5 Summary
There is/are 表示"某处有某物",单数时用 There is, 复数时用There are.
