教材分析
本节课为人教版七年级上册第四单元第四课时的教学内容，以谈论物品位置为话题，要求学生掌握方位介词on, in, under的用法，在情境中熟练运用本单元词汇和句型，培养运用语言知识的能力，激发创新精神。
二、教学目标
（一）知识目标
1.学习并掌握单词：tidy, and, but, everywhere
2.熟练使用句型“Where is/Where are… ”和方位介词“in, on, under”问答房间内物品摆放位置。

教学重点
（1）方位介词in, on, under的用法；
（2）tidy, but, and, everywhere等新词汇的认识和掌握；

（1）能够准确使用方位介词描述物品摆放位置；
学会仿写短文。
四、学情分析
本节课的授课对象为七年级学生。他们刚从小学升入初中，认知模式主要还是以图式为主，所以在教学设计时，充分利用多媒体、视频、图片等，并为学生创设实用型教学情境，使学生都能积极参与到教学活动中，更好的实现教学目标。

Step 1 Greeting
T: Good morning, class!
SS: Good morning, Miss Yang!
Step 2 Revision
T: How are you today
Ss: I’m fine, thanks. And you
T: Pretty good. Because I got a new schoolbag. Do you like it
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: I like my schoolbag, too. Now, let see what’s in my schoolbag.(教师从包里拿出来一个笔袋) What’s this
Ss: It’s a pencil box.
T: Where is it
Ss: It’s in the schoolbag.
T: Great. Let see if there is something else in my schoolbag.(从包里拿出来一些书) What are they
Ss: They are books.
T: Now, close your eyes. I’ll put them somewhere. You should guess where they are (把书藏到桌子下面) Open your eyes. Where are my books
S1:They are under the table.

Step 5 Lead-in
T: Look at Charlie’s expression on his face. Do you think he is happy or unhappy
Ss: He is unhappy.
T: Why is he unhappy
Ss: Because his room is untidy. His things are everywhere.

Step 6 Before reading
T: Here are two rooms, Room A and Room B. Which room do you like better
Ss: Room A.
T: Room A is tidy, but Room B is untidy.

Please turn to Page 23, read the passage quickly and find out which room is Kate’s.

T: Which sentence can support your idea
Ss: I’m tidy, but Gina is not.
T: Be careful, boys and girls. The first one or two sentences are the most important.
Step 7 While reading
1.Listen to the tape and circle the things Kate and Gina have.
2.Read the passage aloud and then match the things with the places.
Step 8 After reading
Retell the passage according to the key words that are given.
Step 9 Situational teaching
T: Today we met a new friend, Charlie. But he is not happy. Can we help him clean his room
Ss: Yes.

Step 10 Writing
T: Now let’s write an article about Charlie’s room. But before writing, I’d like to tell you how to write.
The writing should include three parts: the beginning, the body and the ending. In the beginning, a general introduction should be given. As for the body part, we should describe the places of each things in the room. And in the end, we should express our feelings “like” or “dislike”.
