教学目标

教学内容
教学重点： 1. Ss will watch and say how to make affirmative, negative sentences and questions with “used to” . 2.Ss will improve their skills of analysis and conclusion.
教学难点： 1.Ss will know more about themselves and try to be brave and try the things they used to be afraid of by transfer learning. 4. Ss will learn to care about others by practising.

Step1. Lead in Show ss a small part of video of themselves, and ask them to answer the questions. T: Have you changed a lot Ss: Yes, we’ve changed a lot. T: What did you use to be like Ss: I used to... Show some pictures. T: Who is he Ss: He is Bill. T: What did he use to be like Ss: He didn’t use to wears glasses. T: Who is he Ss: He is Cris. T: What did he use to be like？ Ss: He used to be serious. 用班上学生七八九三个年级的照片变化制作视频，并以此作为导入，引起学生的注意和兴趣。让学生谈论自己过去是什么样子的。 圈出图片中的某个同学，让学生观察这个同学的变化。激发学生用英语对过去进行描述的欲望。由此过渡到语法点的学习。 培养学生思考，观察和语言能力。 （语言能力+思维品质）
Step2. Watch and Say T: How can we say something about the past Ss: We can use the phrase ‘ used to’ Work in groups to find out what we can learn from the sentences. Ask some ss to share their conclusion. And the teacher lead the whole class to check their conclusion. T: Just as you say, we need to pay attention to the two points. 1. be affirmative: used to do 2. be negative: didn’t use to do sth. 通过照片，引入语法要点中的前四句。 让学生小组合作，自己通过观察，获取梳理并概括相关语法要点，提高学生的分析总结及合作学习的能力 学生通过小组讨论，合作学习来提升分析和总结的能力 （语言能力+学习能力+思维品质）
Step 3. Practice T: Look at the pictures about the teacher. Was she beautiful？ Ss:Yes, she was beautiful. T: So, we can say she used to ___ beautiful. T: Did she use to be serious Ss: No, she didn’t T: So, we can say she didn’t use to be serious. Please pay attention to the phrases: used to do/ didn’t use to do 让学生利用关于教师的搞笑图片，练习关键句型，逐步掌握知识点。 学以致用，分析总结并练习。 （语言能力+学习能力+思维品质）
Step4. Watch and Say Ask some questions about the exercises . T: -Did she use to be beautiful -Yes, she did.① -Did she use to be serious -No, she didn’t.② Look at the sentence in Grammar Focus again, and conclude the language points. ( Did he use to wear glasses --Yes, he did/No, he didn’t.③) Ss: From the sentences, we can know Yes/No Question with ‘used to’. -Did sb. use to do sth. -Yes, I/you/he...(Pron.) did / No, I/you/he...(Pron.) didn’t. Look at the picture again. T: Did Bill use to wear glasses Ss: No, he didn’t. T: Did Fred use to wear glasses Ss: Yes, he did. T: There’s another way to say the same thing. He used to wear glasses,didn’t he Ss: Yes, he did/No, he didn’t. Look at Grammar Focus again. Conclude Tag Question with ‘used to’. Ss:-Sb. used to do sth., (be affirmative) didn’t I/you/he...(Pron.) (be negative) -Yes, I/you/he...(Pron.) did. /No, I/you/he...(Pron.) didn’t. 根据练习中的句子提问，引出used to 的一般疑问句。 让学生根据语法中的句子和我们刚刚所造句子，分析总结used to 的一般疑问句的基本结构。 立刻根据图片进行练习，让学生实实在在掌握used to 的一般疑问句。 由一般疑问句过渡到used to 的反义疑问句。让学生更好的理解、总结。建构有关used to 的知识体系。 分析总结并练习。 （语言能力+学习能力+思维品质）
Step5. Practice T: As you know, Emily is new in our class. Let’s learn something about her past. Step7. Transfer Learning Watch a video. T: Look, how outgoing you are now! You are becoming better and better. So, don’t be afraid. Try it! 升华主题，知识迁移，让学生明白害怕是很正常的，但是我们要学会尝试，让自己变得更好。 尝试不可能 （文化意识）
Step8. Homework You must finish the exercises. You can draw a mind map of the changes of Jianyang/ China/technology... You can try the thing you should do, but you are still afraid of. Then share your feelings with us. 分层布置作业，让学生根据自己的能力选择适当的作业内容。 鼓励学生观察简阳、中国或者其他事物的变化，学会迁移创新。 鼓励学生尝试应该做却不敢做的事情，让他们勇敢做更好的自己。 内化知识，养成良好学习习惯 （学习能力）
