Step 1: Lead in
Ask and answer: What’s your first/last name My first/last name is...
Intention: By asking and answering questions, Ss can review the knowledge of last class and lead to the writing topic.
Step 2: Presentation
Work on 3a. Use the information on the ID card to complete the sentences.
Mapping: Try to summarize and organise the ideas that can be used in writing.
Intention: To provide writing practice with the target language and to select the useful ideas to be included in the writing.
Step 3: Practice
Work on 3b. Fill in your own ID card and write about yourself.
My first name is ....
My last name is ....
My telephone number is ....
Drafting: Practice making three sentences and combine them to a little paragraph.
Intention: Provide Ss the chance and let them use the target language to write about themselves. Writing is an important skill in English learning. Ss can read the writing sample and then finish their own writing.
Step 4: Production
Editing (peer editing): Ss check their writing with partners to deal with some writing mistakes. Ss share their writing with others’ to make a self introduction.
Revising: mistake revising.
Intention: To raise their awareness about how to develop ideas and how write clearly.
Step 5: Self Check
The teacher gives Ss several minutes to finish the exercise in self check and then gives them answers and explain.
Intention: That is easy and can arouse their interests in English writing.

Intention: Page 12 is a writing exercise. Ss can practice writing again and finish a longer and more complete passage to introduce themselves.
