Step 1 Warm-up
Listen to some sound,guess,which transportation van you hear Bus,plane,taxi,ship,subway,train 2.Free talk:Which transportation do you usually take Let students talk and share their ideas.
Step 2 Presentation
Show a picture of Mrs Smith and say,let’s go to the nature park.Then show a picture of a map,the nature park is a little far from school,ask the students :How do we get there Let students talk about the way to the nature park,help students to answer the question. Show a picture of a bus,say,we can go there by bus.Teach students to read this word. Show the pictures of bus/plane/taxi/ship/subway/train and on foot,teach the phrases and help students to read correctly. Help students to understand by+bus/plane/taxi/ship/subway/train and the difference between “by bus” and “take a bus”.on foot=walk
Step 3 Practice
Look and match Write and say:Show the picture on page 15 “write and say”,let students talk with a partner with the sentence “How do you get...from... By...” Read the words together.
