Unit8 On weekends.
It’s my great honor to talk about my teaching design.My presentation consists of several parts,analysis of teaching material ,the students,teaching procedures and so on.
Firstly,I’d like to analyse the teaching content.
This lesson is unit8 On weekends.”from primary English book,the second of semester of Grade5.The topic of this unit is about plan students’life.Such topic is related to students’daily life.
So it’s helpful to raise students’ learning interest.And they can grasp new words and sentences.like:work study by car by taxi on foot have a picnic .
Secondly,it’s about students.
According to the new standard curriculum,syllabus and after studying of the teaching material and the students.So I set the teaching aims as following.
1.Knowledge aims:They are able to read and say new words and sentences: work study by car How do you go there And so on.
2.Ability aims:By the end of lesson,they can listen and say kinds of traffic tools and activities, then their ability of listening and speaking can be improved.
3.Emotional aims:Students are more interested in learning English and plan their life..
Based on the requirement of the syllabus and the task of the lesson.
The key points are read and say new words and sentences.
The difficult points are the pronounciation of the new words and use sentences correctly.
Next,I will mainly use Audio-lingual teaching method,communicative teaching method,task-based teaching method.
In the class,students can learn by game communication and cooperation with classmates.
Teaching aids are PPT pictures tape and so on.
Now,let’s focus on teaching procedures.
For achieving these teaching aims,so I set the teaching procedures as following.
lead in
①warm up:sing and dance English songs.
By the way,students are willing to learn English and it can build a relaxing environment.
②And do actions to review Monday to Sunday..
2.Presentation
①Teach Saturday+Sunday=weekends .
I’ll show some pictures.Then I can teach new words by pat my pictures and read one by one.
In this way,students can improve their ability of speak,and pat pictures can stimulate their interest.
②Teach sentences What do you usually do on weekends I usually + new words.How do you go there + new phrases
Next,I’ll practice sentences.
It can attract students’attention ,and help students get to know how to use sentences correctly.
③ make a dialogue:listen to the tape of part1 together and find students to fill in the blank with new sentences. 3.Consolidation
①Say and do:I’ll ask two students to make a dialogue by Part game time.
The game can build up their confidence .Encourage them to speak English loudly.
②smashing eggs game
There are six problems.Find students to finish them.Including fill in the letter,choose,what’s missing and so on.
4.Summary
Students have an opportunity to become a small teacher to teach others.Then I’ll correct the pronounciation.
5.Homework:
①read and say words：one student do actions，the other one guess after class.
②practice Part Listen and Say with their friends.
③learn new English song
