Unit 3
1.形容词、副词的比较级变化规则。
short-shorter, big-bigger, heavy-heavier, funny-funnier, friendly-friendlier, outgoing-more outgoing
quietly-more quietly, loudly-more loudly, clearly-more clearly, bad-worse, good/well-better, many/much-more, far-farther, little-less
2. 比较级用法
(1) 结构A+be 形容词比较级 +than +B.
Tom比Jim 高。
Tom is taller than Jim.= Jim is shorter than Tom.
我的头发比你的长.
My hair is longer than yours.
= Your hair is shorter than mine.
= I have longer hair than you.
(2) 结构 A +动词 副词比较级 than +B.
我跑的比Jim 快. I run faster than Jim.
Lucy 学习比Lily好。 Lucy studies better than Lily.
(3) Who is taller, Jim or Tom
Which is better, the red one or the black one
Who jumps higher, Jim or Tom
(4) the +比较级 of the two (两者之中较…的) Tom是两个男孩中较高的。
Tom is the taller of the two boys.
(5) 比较级and 比较级 (同一个词) 表示 越来越….
taller and taller 越来越高 fatter and fatter 越来越胖 more and more beautiful越来越漂亮
(6) the +比较级, the+比较级
越….就越… (两个不同的词)
the more, the better 你吃的越多，就会越胖。
The more you eat, the fatter you’ll be.
(7) Tom is taller than the other boys in the class
.= Tom is taller than any other boy in the class.
Tom比班里其他男孩高。
(8) much, a little 修饰比较级 much fatter胖得多 a little fatter 胖一点
Jim比Tom高得多。Jim is much taller than Tom. Jim
比Tom高一点。Jim is a little taller than Tom.
(9) as 形容词、副词原级 as 表示和….一样…
Jim is as tall as Tom. Jim jumps as high as Tom.
not as(so) 形容词、副词原级 as…
不如… Jim is not as tall as Tom. Jim不如Tom高.
3. both用法：1. both A and B… A和B 都…
Both Jim and Tom like like apples.
4. Everyone 做主语， 表单数。 Everyone wants to win.
5. win 过去式 won 赢；赢得比赛，竞赛。
6.be talented in sth. be talented in doing…
He is talented in swimming.
7. be good at sth/ doing = do well in sth/doing
8. the same as… 和…一样
be different from..和…不同
9. true 真的，真实的（形容词）truly 确实，真正（副词）
It’s a ture story. He truly cares about me.
10. make sb. do
My good friend always makes me laugh.
11. It’s adj for sb. to do sth…
It’s necessary to learn English well.
12. be like 像… A good friend is like a mirror.
我认为朋友像书。 I think friends are like books.
13. enjoy doing They enjoy playing computer games.
14. help (1) help sb (to) do
(2) help to do… (3) help sb with sth
15. should 应该 should+do We should study hard.
16. though. although
Though/Although it’s raining hard, he’s still working outside.
Larry is better at soccer than me, she is less hard-working, though.
17. A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

19. Jim is my best friend, he cares about me and he’s always there to listen.
20. quiet 形容词，安静的,修饰名词。 比较级：quieter
quietly 副词，安静地，修饰动词。比较级：more quietly
21. be similar to…和…类似 我的钢笔和你的类似。
My pen is similar to yours.
22. get (1) 到达 She usually gets to school by bike.
(2) 变得 I’m getting better at tennis.
(3) 取得 I always get better grades than he does.

(2)形容词副词最高级用法
1.三者或三者以上相比,最高,用“ the +最高级” 的结构表示. 后跟表范围的介词短语: in our class , of the five, of the three, of all , in China…
他是三个人中最高的。He is the tallest of the three.
Jim是班里最高的男孩. Jim is the tallest boy in the class.
=Jim is taller than any other boy in the class.
=Jim is taller than the other boys in the class.
2.表示在三者或三者以上的人或物中进行选择时，
Who / Which + be +最高级, A, B, or C
3. 表示, “最…….之一”的句式,用one of the + 形容词最高级+ 复数名词
a. Honghong is one of the best students in our class.
b. SuZhou is one of the most beautiful cities in China.
4.当最高级前有物主代词或者名词所有格
a. Monday is my busiest day. 星期一是我最忙的一天.
b. Jack is Jim’s best friend. Jack 是Jim最好的朋友.
5. 最高级前可加序数词.
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.

(9) carefully 副词 careful 形容词
He is a careful boy, he always listens to the teacher carefully in class.
(10) How do you like…. = What do you think of…
(11) love to do…. love doing… like to do… like doing… enjoy doing…
(12) comfortable 形容词,舒服 comfortably副词
They have comfortable seats, you can sit comfortably.
