二、教学内容分析
课文与模块、本单元的联系：本单元以“学校社团”为话题，以社团的介绍为主线。为了更好地延续这个主线，根据补充阅读（More Practice）板块一篇关于远足社出游的短文和文化角(Culture corner) 一篇关于中外学生夏令营的介绍，特选取了 iRead--New English Readers《我爱读·新体验英语阅读》七年级话题 3 中的 Part2 Join the Club 作为拓展阅读材料。话题与课文和生活都密切相关，主题突出，有助于学生开拓文化视角。《我爱读·新体验英语阅读》这本书是国内首创的体现国际英语教学理念，注重过程性阅读，符合东方英语学习模式的阅读教材。它通过一些身边有趣的小故事阅读，让学生学会使用阅读策略，发展思维能力，表达观点意见和情感，同时了解自己和其他文化。
主题、主要内容：本节课 Join the Club 第一章节讲的是Scouts (童子军俱乐部)，这个故事分成三个部分，第一部分是一个对话场景，描述了 Cheng 和 Mike、Katie准备去参加 Scouts 的一个油画活动，并要为下个月的野营做准备的小故事；第二部分就是一个 Scout Group 的介绍，谈及 Scouts 俱乐部的概况、活动的内容、时间和意义等方面；第三部分就介绍了世界不同地区 Scout Camps 的特点并举例分享了一个童子军成员的感受。
结构、语言特点: 这一章共四页，第一页就是几个孩子和妈妈准备去参加活动的对话，通过对话内容“Ok, ready!” “I’m going to get the handicraft badge.” “Can you

Group 里面 Scout Camps 活动的说明文， 它用对比和描述性的语言来分析， 如 “Some…., some…”、并借用一个学生的感受来举例说明俱乐部具体的活动内容。前三篇文章右下角都有一个”words to help”生词释意框。第四页的内容是三个阅读任务，让读者熟悉文本、筛选正确信息、运用词汇并根据文章内容发表观点。语言通俗易懂，文体结构清晰，符合学生认知规律。
作者的目的、意图: 通过学习本章节的文章，希望进一步培养学生自主阅读课外英文书籍的习惯，激发学生对本话题延伸内容的兴趣，拓展视野，启发思考，鼓励学生去学习和参与更多更有意义的社团活动，从而锻炼和发展自己各方面的能力。
三、学情分析
学生对Scouts 这一话题既熟悉也陌生，熟悉是因为很多活动都与她们生活相关，陌生是因为这类型的俱乐部在学生身边还不普遍。因此通过设置课前导学案的学习任务，促进学生对本节课主题的了解，从而在课堂学习中激发学生的好奇心和求知欲，让学生悦读故事，拓展视野，了解文化，启发思考。

语言能力：积累相关词句：uniforms, badge, adventurous, Be prepared.

能从文章文体、语言、内涵三方面学习 Scouts 相关信息。学习能力：能为 Scouts 设计一个活动（含内容、意义和徽章）。

五、教学重点、难点
重点：积累话题词句，了解 Scouts 俱乐部信息。
难点：分享自己的阅读观点和看法，为 Scouts 设计一个活动的具体内容。
六、教学设计理念
阅读是提高学生听、说、读、写能力的基础，积极健康的阅读有利于学生的可持续发展和终身发展。因此在初中英语教学中，教师要引领学生超越文本、超越课堂，积极开展课外阅读。通过课外阅读激发学生的读书兴趣、开阔知识视野、丰富文化底蕴、启迪他们的创新思维、陶冶情操，提升他们的综合素质。
