本节课共使用三篇文章（经改编）和一个音频（经剪辑）作为教学素材。文章
1 主要讲述 John 从童年起热爱收藏车号牌（license plate）的故事，为记叙文，文章主要时态为一般现在时和一般过去时，人称主要为第三人称，语言难度中等。文章 2 主要讲述 Michael 退休后热爱收集沉船珍宝（shipwrecked treasure）的故事，为记叙文，文章主要时态为一般现在时和一般过去时，人称主要为第三人称，语言难度中等。音频主要讲述 Kelly 从十岁起便热爱收藏橡皮擦（eraser）的故事，为采访（自述）音频，主要时态为一般现在时和一般过去时，人称为第一人称，语言难度中等偏难。文章 3 主要讲述如何开展收藏（how to start a collection），为说明文，文章时态为一般现在时，人称为第三人称，语言难度中等偏易。
二、学情分析
学生在课本 Unit 8 Collecting things 的单元学习中，在 Reading、Listening、
Writing 和 More practice 部分已分别接触和了解到不同人的不同收藏爱好。单元话题背景已得到激活，单元话题语言已得到一定积累。但学生仍需要接触更多同话题的不同语言材料，从而开拓视野、丰富阅读和学习体验，并进一步提升语言能力和素养。

了解收藏方法，培养积极向上的收藏兴趣。
