Lesson 1 Spring Festival
Teaching Objectives:
Comb and acquire different experiences of three characters before and during Spring Festival.
Infer the meaning of Spring Festival to three characters and state the significance of Spring Festival to Chinese culture.
Use language and knowledge learned to introduce my experience, feelings and views of last Spring Festival.
Love and carry forward Chinese traditional culture.

Step I: Warm-up
Students watch a short video about Spring Festival.

Step II: Fast reading
Read the notes from the editor and look at the three pictures, and try to make predictions of the main idea of the text.

Step V: Summary
Throughout history, some of the original customs have changed, but the spirit of the festival---family reunion ---has largely been kept.
Spring festival can not only bring people joy and fun, but also convey important cultural meaning. Well, east or west, home is the best.
As a Chinese, we shouldn't worship foreign things blindly, but cherish our good traditional culture and pass it down from generation togeneration.
