Step 1 Pre-listening 1. To review and talk about: What does he/she look like 2. Show Ss some pictures to see some differences. Then compare. 3. Show Ss the picture on P17 and ask them to describe the picture. e.g. Tara is not very tall but her hair is long. Tina sings loudly. 【设计意图】通过图片看不同来回和学生交流，引出今日话题。激发学生的兴趣。 4.Present objectives Step 2While-listening
1.Work on 1a. (1)Write the opposite words according to the pictures. (2) Check the answers. 【设计意图】初步使用本课词汇，从理解层面选择，明义。 2.Work on 1b: (1)There are three pairs of twins in the picture. Who’s whose twin brother or sisters Why (2) Listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture. (3)Ask Ss to listen to the conversation again and circle the comparatives. (4)Explanation 【设计意图】通过听形容词，加强听力能力。也可以加深学生对重点单词的记忆。并训练学生抓关键信息的能力。再次通过听力回答问题更能掌握听力材料的内容。 3.Pair work Practice the conversation in the picture. Then make conversations about the other twins. A: That’s Tara, isn’t it B: No, it isn’t. It’s Tina. Tina is taller than Tara. And she also sings more loudly than Tara. 【设计意图】通过对话练习，可以将句型和单词再次加强巩固,并锻炼学生的表达能力。 4.Work on 2a, 2b (1)Ask Ss to complete the chart firstly by themselves. (2)Play the recording and check the answers.
