Story mountain is a kind of story structure chart which is used to describe the basic elements of a story and development of the plot. Usually it consists of five parts, including opening,build up, climax, resolution and ending.
At the opening of a story, we usually could see background information and the introduction of main characters of the story.
In the second stage of a story, the main characters face various obstacles and challenges, and they take action to solve the problem.
Then it comes to the turning point of a story, which is called climax. It is most intense and critical part of a story.
In the resolution part, the main character starts to deal with the effect of climax, and begin to solve the problem.
