教材分析 This section focuses on the theme task "Analyse basic sentence structures". The grammar mainly deals with the basic sentence patterns. Based on the First Impression of the last reading lesson in the context of "campus life" as the theme, this lesson focuses on the structure of eight basic sentence patterns and the basic components of the sentence. The 8 sentence patterns include; Subject-predicate (SV), subject-predicate (system) list (SP), subject-predicate object (SVO), subject-predicate object (SV IO DO), subject-predicate object complement (SVOC), subject-predicate (SVA), subject-predicate object (SVOA) and existence sentence (there be). Sentence components include subject (S), predicate (V), object (O), predicate (P), adverbial (A) and complement (C), wherein the object is divided into direct object (DO) and indirect object (IO). The understanding of basic sentence patterns can help students to accurately understand the meaning of sentences when reading and listening to articles, and also help students to accurately use different sentence patterns in writing and oral output to meet the expression needs, and improve the written and oral expression ability. At the same time, mastering the 8 basic sentence patterns of simple sentences can lay a good foundation for learning compound sentences later.
学情分析 After three years of learning and accumulation in junior middle school, senior One students have a vocabulary of about 1000 English words, have certain oral English expression ability, and can express their own ideas and opinions in specific contexts. At the same time, they have mastered some listening skills. With the help of the teacher's skills, most students should be able to understand the general idea of the listening text and be fully prepared for the speaking session.

课前准备及导入新课 Step I Lead in Review and underline the sentences below marking the subject, object and so on. Take notes and finish the exercises to review what they have learnt about sentence elements. Recall their memory in the sentences they have learnt from this unit and motivate them to observe and think.
课中环节 Activity1: Summarize and analyze the basic sentence structures in detail. Practice Observe and analyze the elements in the sentences. Finish the practice and better understand the basic sentences structures. Through observation, demonstration, analysis and discussion of the core elements of sentences, let the students initially perceive and understand 8 basic sentence patterns. Guide students to deepen their understanding of the basic sentences structures and meanings of the target language.
课后环节 Work in pairs and discuss briefly with a partner the major structures of them through making a short summary in a table or mind map. Draw a mind map and make up sentences. Practise using the structure in this unit and get improved.
作业 Review the reading passage and choose 5 sentences to analyze basic sentence structures. Finish relative exercises on workbook. Consolidate the knowledge and skills students have learned in this lesson.
