教材分析 The topic of this lesson is the beginning of high school. The topic belongs to the thematic context -- people and self, thematic groups -- life and learning. The topic of this unit mainly focuses on getting to know new people. At the same time, it aims to cultivate students' listening ability and speaking ability, so as to prepare for the study of Unit 1 of this volume in advance. Through the study of this unit, students can smoothly transition to the study of the next unit. In this part, we will guide students to face the new life of high school with a new attitude. Therefore, the teaching activities in this section abandon the traditional teaching methods of sorting out text structure and so on. Instead, the form of reflection on questions and skills will run through the whole class, focusing on training students' ability to analyze and process information, teaching students' listening skills and speaking abilities, and cultivating students' deep thinking and humanistic quality.
学情分析 The lesson is the first class at the beginning of high school. The targeted students are from Senior one. In teaching, according to the age characteristics and cognitive ability of students, gradually expand the content and scope of cultural knowledge. Teaching involves knowledge, which should be closely related to students' daily life, knowledge structure and cognitive level, and can stimulate students' interest in learning English culture. Most of my students come from rural areas, and the basic knowledge of junior high school is relatively weak, but they have just entered a brand new campus life from junior high school. Senior high school life is the future that students are longing for and looking forward to, and most students have a high enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, in class, I need to keep students' enthusiasm for learning and increase the fun of class. Let them always maintain a positive learning heart. It should be noted that in class and classroom teaching, students need to learn more about listening skills, so as to improve their confidence in English learning! Through English teaching to increase the students' knowledge, ability, emotion, let the students stay eager to learn and positive! Not only in terms of listening, but also in terms of speaking, students are encouraged to have courageous group conversations, communicate with each other, make friends happily, and pay attention to the cultivation of students' life ability and humanistic quality.

Arouse their interest in the topic and provide basic information for them, which helps them listen to find the answers easily.
听中环节 Activity1:Match the pictures with the sentences. Describe what the people in the pictures are doing. Activity2:Listen to Conversation 1 and complete the table. Activity3: Listen to Conversation 2 and tick Max's favourite subject and Amy's favourite subject. Activity4: Listen to Conversation 3 and answer the questions. Activity5: Listen the greetings and responses again, taking notes and fill in the blanks. Activity6:Work in groups. Choose one of the situations and make a conversation.
