(1) One of the main reasons作主语，is为连系动词，其后跟that引导的表语从句。
“one of the+可数名词复数”结构表示“……中之一”，该结构作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
例: 中国是世界上最大的发展中国家之一。

(2) main “主要的，最重要的”，在句中只用作定语，没有比较级和最高级形式。
例：老师让我把演讲的主要知识点做上记号。

(3)reason作名词,用作可数名词,意为“理由;原因”。
例：你为什么没有给出任何理由？ Why didn’t you give any reasons
拓展：(1)the/a reason for (doing) sth.做某事的理由你没有理由做那件事。
You have no reason for doing that.
(2)the reason why………的原因
我们不知道他迟到的原因。
We don’t know the reason why he was late.
4. However, he was always ready to try his best.有些人认为这些表演者的生活是编造的。
（1）be ready to do sth.意为“准备好做某事；愿意做某事”，其中ready用作形容词，意为“愿意的；准备好的”。
例：我们准备开始工作了。 We are ready to start our work.
拓展：be ready for sth. 意为“为某事做准备”。
例：我们准备好考试了。 We’re ready for the exam.
(2) try one’s best意为“尽某人最大努力” = do one’s best
try/ do one’s best to do sth. 意为“某人尽最大努力做某事”
例：孩子们正在尽最大努力学习英语。
