The passage mainly introduces how Wei Fen learned to learn English. We learn the study skills and try to make English learning easy.

Step1: Warming up T: Let’s listen to an English song before the class. 课前以一首英文歌导入，引入英语学习方式。
Step2: Pre- reading Talk about different ways of learning English. --How do you learn English well --I learn English by… Lead in the new words and phrases. 谈论英语学习方式，激活学生已有知识。介绍教学课文中出现的新单词和词组，为阅读文章做铺垫。
Step3: While- reading 1. Let’s predict: What’s the passage about 2. Skimming How many paragraphs are there What is the main idea of each paragraph 3. Scanning Paragraph 1 Why did Wei Fen find it difficult to learn English What did she do in English class Paragraph 2 What happened to Wei Fen one day How did she learn English 3. I can get the meaning of the new words by looking them up in a _______. 利用文本插图，从图片讨论进入文本。让学生预测文本内容。 设计目的：第一遍阅读：从整体上把握文本大意，体现阅读策略：读标题获取篇章大意。 围绕学习方法这个话题，用思维导图组织教学。第三遍阅读：讨论Wei Fen通过看电影这种学习方法而得到的收获，由浅入深，剖析文本。
Step4: Post-reading Discussion What is the secret to language learning I think the secret is …because it’s... 以小组讨论的形式讨论和分享好的学习方法和学习习惯，既能检测学生的学习效果也能跳出教材，让思维发散，延伸。 分享是最好的学习，让学生在分享中学习和体会。
Step5: Make an interview Make an interview about Wei Fen and act it out. 让学生利用所学内容来编一个采访的对话，进一步巩固课本所学内容。
Step6: Watch a video Watch a video and share more interesting ways to learn. 看一段小视频了解更多有趣实用的学习方式，让学生讨论。
Step7: More tips T: Help Ss know that there are more ways than problems. 情感教育，学生能意识到当学习上遇到问难，方法总比问题多。
Step8: Homework 1. Try more ways to study English.2. Write a report about how you study English. 设计目的：对作业进行分层设计，一个是课内的笔头作业，另一个是搜索名人和成功者的学习方法，在找寻中学习。
