【教学目标】
1．知识目标。
（1）能听、说、认读单词及词组：thief, police officer, police car, police dog, direct traffic.
（2）能听懂、会说句型：What do you want to be when you grow up / I want to be a …/ What do police officers do
2．能力目标。
听懂课文对话并能在情景中灵活运用。
3．情感态度、文化意识、学习策略。
敢于开口说英语，表达中不怕出错误。能对新学内容进行归纳和总结，且能在语境中理解中西语言表达方式上的不同之处。
【教学重点】
认读单词并学会thief, police officer, police car, police dog, direct traffic.
名词复数形式。
句型What do you want to be when you grow up / I want to be a …/ What do police officers do
【教学难点】
能听、说、读、写单词thief, police.
Thief, police, traffic发音。
能用句型What do you want to be when you grow up / I want to be…对将来理想的提问并回答。
【教学准备】
1．教师准备：多媒体课件、配套音响、单词卡。
2．学生准备：课本及其他学习用品。
【教学过程】
热身活动。
Free talk. 教师与学生进行简单对话，练习学生的口语表达。
T: What do you want to be when you grow up
S: I want to be a …
2．新知呈现与操练。
（1）教师出示单词卡片，依次学习单词及词组：thief, police officer, police car, police dog, direct traffic.
（2）What's missing
出示单词及词组卡片，请学生闭上眼睛，教师取走一张，请学生睁开眼睛并找出少了哪一个单词。
（3）Work in pairs. 出示图片
T: What do you want to be when you grow up
S: I want to be a police officer. I like the police uniform. I like the police car.
T: What do police officers do
S: Police officers direct traffic. Police offices catch thieves.
（4）名词的复数形式。
一般情况加 s ：book-- books mouth---mouths house---houses girl---girls
以 s, sh, ch, x结尾的加es：class--- classes box----boxes match----matches
辅音字母+ y结尾的变y为i加es：
city---cities country----countries party----parties factory----factorie
以 o 结尾的词 +es的只有以下词 ：heroes Negroes tomatoes potatoes zeroes/zeros
以 o 结尾并且词尾有两个元音字母 +s radios, zoos, bamboos, (pianos ,kilos photos)
以f, fe 结尾的 变f或fe为v +es
thief wife life knife wolf half leaf shelf
The thief's wife killed three wolves with some leaves and knives in half of her life.
3．巩固拓展。
（1）Ask and answer.（学生看着课件上提供的信息，相互回答。）
（2）争分夺秒。
学生分为四组，每组每个成员需说出一个本单元的完整句子，要求句子不能重复，如果有人说重复句子，必须从头开始，在规定时间内说的最多句子的组别获胜。
4．总结。
教师和学生总结本课时的教学重点，先由学生谈谈自己学到了什么，再由老师总结。
【作业布置】
模仿课文，编对话。
