教材分析 This lesson is about choosing your favourite athlete. In the part of introduction to Lang Ping, the author first introduces Lang Ping's achievements from the perspectives of player, coach and individual, and then selects the story of Lang Ping leading the team to prepare for the World Cup in 2015, overcoming the challenges of seed players' injury and captain's departure due to illness, and leading the Chinese National Women's Volleyball team to win the World Cup championship, which reflects Lang Ping's fine quality of trusting players and not afraid of challenges. The text ends with the example of Lang Ping, who led the Chinese women's volleyball team to the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. In the part of the introduction of Mike Jordan, the first from Jordan's extraordinary jump in the Air shooting skills, led to Jordan "Air Jordan" nickname. Then, after praising Jordan for his superhuman basketball skills, he goes on to point out that what made him stand out more than his professional skills was his unfailing sportsmanship, which made his career so successful. After his career achievements, he began to talk about his passion for public service. The article ends with the story of how he founded the Boys and Girls Club in Chicago in 1996 and shared his success with others.
