whose 谁的
whose 用来询问物品归谁所有，在疑问句中作定语，修饰后面的名词。回答时可用：“It’s/They’re+ 形容词性物主代词/ 名词所有格+ 名词．”。
e.g. This is my book. (对画线部分提问)
→ Whose book is this
这是谁的书？
对形容词性物主代词(my ，his 等) 或名词所有格(Jenny’s ) 提问。
whose 常用句型结构：
Whose+ 可数名词单数+is
this/that/it
Whose+ 可数名词复数+are
these/those/they
Whose+ 不可数名词+is it
辨析：whose 与who’
whose 是who 的所有格形式，意为“谁的”。
who’s 是who is 的缩写形式，意为“谁是”。
e.g. Who’s the boy 那个男孩是谁？

或允许的程度相差很多。
too+ 形容词+for sb. 对某人来说太……

scarf /skɑ f/ n. 围巾；头巾
e.g. She has a beautiful scarf.
她有一条漂亮的围巾。
I want to buy two scarfs/scarves.
我想买两条围巾。
复数 形式有两种，分别为scarfs 和scarves。
部分以f 或fe 结尾的可数名词变复数时，通常先将f或fe 变为v，再加-es。
e.g. knife → knives wife → wives

e.g. This is my father’s car. 这是我父亲的汽车。
My parents’ room is big and clean. 我父母的房间又大又干净。
The woman is Lucy and Lily’s mother.
那个女人是露西和莉莉的妈妈。
The two boys are Jack’s and Tony’s brothers.
这两个男孩是杰克和托尼的弟弟。
在英语中，有些名词在其后加’s 用来表示所属关系，称为名词所有格，意为“……的”。
速记小法：
巧记以f 或fe 结尾的名词变复数：
树叶(leaf) 半数(half)
自己(self) 黄， 妻子
(wife) 拿刀(knife) 去
割粮，架(shelf) 后闪出
一只狼(wolf)，如同小偷
(thief) 逃命(life) 忙。
名词所有格的构成：
①一般情况下→直接加’s
② 以s 结尾的复数名词→
在词尾加’
③ 两者或两者以上共有的→
在最后一个名词后加’s
④ 两个人各自所有的→两个

在英语中，有些名词表示由两部分构成的东西，常用复数形式。这些名词作主语时，谓语动词用复数。
e.g. The gloves are too big for me.
这副手套对我来说太大了。

maybe 也许；大概
辨析：maybe 与may be
maybe 作副词，通常放在句首作状语，意为“也许，大概；可能”。
may be 是由情态动词may 加be 动词构成的，在句中作谓语，意为“可能是；大概是”。
maybe 与may be:
合并作状语，分开作谓语。
舍maybe 仍有意，
丢may be 可不成。
e.g. Maybe he is the boy’s uncle.
也许他是这个男孩儿的叔叔。
The man may be 50 years old.
=Maybe the man is 50 years old.
这个男人可能50 岁了。
They’re just right for me!
just /d st/ adv. 恰恰；差不多；刚刚
e.g. She just spoke to me.
她刚跟我讲过话。
He’s just finishing his book.
眼下他正在完成他的书。
The skirt is just right for Jenny.
这条裙子对詹妮来说正合适。
just 作副词，修饰形容词、动词等，意为“恰恰，刚刚，差不多”。
just 与进行时连用时，意为“此时；眼下；正在”。
