Language point 1
I get average grades in all of my subjects except English, but sometimes I make stupid mistakes. 除了英语，我其他所有的学科都是平均水平，但是有时候我犯愚蠢的错误。
◆average 用作形容词，表示“平均的”，通常只能放在名词前作定语，不用作表语，且没有比较等级。average做可数名词时，表示“平均；平均数”，是可数名词。

◆stupid 指“智力差的,反应迟钝的”。foolish 指“无头脑的,缺乏判断能力的”。silly 指“头脑简单的,傻头傻脑的”。
e.g. Mary made a stupid mistake.

e.g. It was a foolish thing to fight with his neighbour.
和他的邻居打架是一件蠢事。
e.g. You are a silly child.
你这个傻孩子。(并无太多的贬义)

I want to be like her, but I know that’s impossible.我想像她一样，但我知道那是不可能的。
impossible作形容词，意为“不可能的”。
e.g.Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.
世上无难事，只怕有心人。
【拓展】impossible 的反义词为possible，意为“可能的”。注意possible没有比较级和最高级，也不能用very修饰。
e.g.Is it possible to get to the city by train
有可能坐火车到这个城市去吗？
