Listen to the tape with the following questions.

He learnt English in Canada.
3. What would Danny like to show his hobby
He would like a photo of his Great Great Grandpa Rex.
Step 3 Reading
Read the letter carefully and understand the sentences below.
1. I like collecting facts about our family history. 我喜欢收集与我的家庭有关的事实。
2. It’s fun, and it makes me feel proud. 它很有趣而且它使我感到自豪。
feel proud意为“感到自豪”，feel做系动词，后跟形容词。有“感到……；摸上去……”意思。
e.g. I feel happy, but he feels sad. 我感到高兴，而他感到伤心。
This wallet feels like leather. 这个钱包摸起来像是皮的。
3. Most people don’t have cows or chickens anymore. 大多数人不再养牛和鸡了。
not ... anymore = no more意为“不再”，多用于表示具体动作范围的终止行为。
not ... any longer = no longer,意为“不再”, 多用于修饰表示状态的延续性动词。
e.g. The boy said he wouldn’t go there anymore. 男孩说他再也不去那儿了。
They couldn’t wait any longer. 他们再也不能等了。
4. I need to show and talk about my hobby.
need : 本句中的need是实义动词, need to do sth. 是 “需要做某事”。
例: You need to buy a new coat.
5. Let’s trade photos! 让我们交换一下照片吧!
trade (常与with, for连用）“互相交换，互相对换”
I'll trade my stamp collecting for your model boat.
我想用我收集的邮票换你的小船模型。
trade（常与in, with连用）“交易；贸易；做买卖”
We trade with other countries.我们和其他国家做生意。
