教学内容 语法：由because引导的原因状语从句。
Step 1 Greeting with useful sentences from this lesson. You can start like the following: Good morning! Yesterday I went to play in our city’s biggest park. But on my way to the park, I got lost. Luckily, I saw a young lady, and asked for her help. If you are the lady, what will you do How will you help me Step 2 Make a conversation and act it out in front of the class. Step 3 Make a summary. Review the following important sentences: (1) Can you tell me the way to… (2) Turn right at the second crossing. (3) It’s … blocks from … (4) There’s a bakery near our house. Step 4 Grammar 1. because表示的是必然的因果关系，语气较强，通常放在主句之后，若需强调则放在主句之前。 2. because通常用来回答why提出的问题。 —Why didn’t you come to my birthday party —Because I had to take care of my little sister. 3. because可以引导从句作表语。 I’m late today. It is because I stayed up late yesterday. because与because of的区别 because 后接从句表原因，because of 只能接名词、代词或动名词 I can’t go out because it is raining heavily. =I can’t go out because of the heavy rain. 5. because, since, as 与for的区别 (1)because的用法已讲解。 (2)since和as所表示的原因是人们已知的，是对已知事实提供理由，而不表示直接原因。它们引导的从句通常放在主句之前，有时也放在主句之后。 (3)for是并列连词(其余三者为从属连词)，它有时可表示因果关系(通常要放在主句之后，且可与because换用)；有时不表示因果关系，而是对前面分句内容的解释或推断(也要放在主句之后，但不能与because换用)。 because 和so 不能同时使用 I didn’t catch the bus because I got up late. 我没有赶上公共汽车，因为我起床晚了。 I got up late so I didn’t catch the bus. 我起床晚了，所以没有赶上公共汽车。 Step 5 Do exercises on the text book. Step 6 Work in pairs. Make up a dialogue about “getting lost”.
