Step 1 Warming up and lead in T puts some things in some places and communicates with Ss. T: Where’s the schoolbag S: It’s on the desk. T: Where are the books S: They’re in the schoolbag. Play a game. T puts the school things such as pen, ruler, eraser ..on the some places(don’t let Ss view), let Ss guess where are they, and prize the winner.
Step2. Work on 1a-1b Work on 1a. match the things in 1a with the words in the box. Let Ss read the words together and correct the pronunciation. Look at the pic in 1a 3mins and close the book, then write down the words of things you remember. Then finish 1b Work in pairs: Ss A ask the places of things and Ss B answers(cannot be allowed to open the book). g: A:Where is the radio B:It’s on the desk. A:Where are the tapes B:They are in the bookcase.
Step2. Work on 1c-1e Work on 1c. Listen the tape and circle the things in room that Tom wants Finish 1d. Listen again and remember the places where Tom wants the things. And then ask and answer. A: Where are the English books B: They’re under the radio. Listen the tape and let Ss read after it and correct the pronunciation. Work on 1e. Ask and answer according to the places of thins.
【语法提要】 1.tape player与model plane都是由两个名词构成的短语。其中，前一个名词已形容词化，用作定语，说明后一个名词的功能、特性。在变复数名词短语时，只需把后一个名词变复数。
