教材分析 The topic of this unit is history and tradition. The text is an illustrative historical and geographical overview of the United Kingdom. It begins with the confusion about why the United Kingdom has so many different names. It describes the long process of the formation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the relationship between the four constituent countries, which are both cooperative and independent. Next, the article tells the various influences of different ethnic groups on Britain in various historical periods, and then mentions the long history of London, the capital city, the political, economic and cultural center of Britain. Finally, the author once again emphasizes the importance of studying history for a deeper understanding of a country, and attracts readers to learn more about the cultural history of Britain. The logical structure of the article is clear. Each paragraph has typical discourse marker words and functional vocabulary. 学情分析 Senior one students have a certain vocabulary foundation, master certain high school English learning methods. But most students lack the ability to learn independently and draw inferences from one another. However, they are interested in the topics of history and culture, so under the guidance of teachers, students can have a deeper understanding of the history of Britain and have a deeper thinking about the history of their own country.
