教材分析 The listening text is a conversation between a British student and a Chinese student at the Confucius Temple. William, an English student, is visiting the Confucius Temple. He asks Xiao Kong, a Chinese student, for directions. Xiao Kong was on his way to the Confucius Temple to meet with the members of the research team, so the two of them traveled along the road to exchange their views on Confucius Temple, Confucius, his descendants and his educational ideas. From the perspective of foreign tourists, the text describes their curiosity, admiration and love for Confucius, a great figure who has had a profound impact on Chinese history and cultural traditions. Besides, Xiao Kong, a descendant of Confucius, will introduce the descendants of Confucius and their educational thoughts and other aspects. In the dialogue, William uses Achilles' hill, pull one's leg, a fish out of water and other English idioms and allusions, and the details of the height limit of a city building remind him of his hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon. It introduces the great British playwright Shakespeare, which not only reflects the organic combination of language, culture, history and tradition, but also reflects the respect and protection of historical traditions in China and the UK. At the same time, it also preheats and lays the groundwork for the British content in the Reading and Thinking section.
学情分析 Students' oral expression ability is not good, but their ability to acquire listening information is a little short, so they need to learn more listening skills and get a lot of oral exercise. In addition, most students in this class are not familiar with the words in this unit, so some students may feel difficult in the process of listening to the new words, and there will be some difficulties in expressing their own ideas.

听中环节 Activity1:Listen to a conversation between a British tourist and a Chinese student in Qufu, and then write down what they say about Confucius. Activity2: Listen again and decide whether these statements are true (T), false (F),or not mentioned (NM). Activity3: Listen to the script. Students learn to use these word blocks to simply describe festival events by using the illustrations given in Activity 1, with the teacher's demonstration and group discussion. Help Ss obtain the general information of the dialogues according to the listening tips provided.
