教材分析 The theme of this unit is music. The purpose of this unit is to let students appreciate music, understand the bonding function of music, and understand certain music appreciation and criticism. The activity theme of this section is "Describe people or things in greater detail". In the context , some sentences in the text use past participle phrases to express the emotion to music and the corresponding character state. After learning the use of past participle as attributive and object complement in the last unit, students continue to learn the use of past participle as predicate and adverbial.
学情分析 The English level of the students in this class is medium, the cognitive level is medium, the grammar knowledge foundation is not very solid, the mastery of sentence components is not skilled, the understanding of the meaning of the participle is not in place, especially the misunderstanding and misuse of the two participles (doing/done) which enable the transformation of the active part of words.
学习 目标与核心素养 Language ability Help students understand the meaning and syntactic function of the two participle forms of the verb. Inspire students to observe and summarize the common features reflected in grammar. 重点 It helps students to understand the function of the past participle structure, its logical subject and its passive meaning, and guides students to use the past participle correctly in language communication, especially its functions as predicate and adverbial.
难点 Guide the students to observe and judge the relationship between the past participle phrase and the logical subject of the sentence, clarify the relationship between the past participle and the adverbial clause, and use the past participle to express the meaning correctly.

课前准备及导入新课 Step I Lead in Show the sentences and lead the topic in directly. Observe the sentences with the structure of the past participle used as adverbial. Spark their interest in what they are going to learn and motivate them to observe and think.
课中环节 Activity1: Find and discuss briefly with a partner the major functions of them. Activity2: Discuss briefly with a partner the major functions of them. Observe and analyze the the past participle used as adverbial. Distinguish the difference between the present participle and past participle used as adverbials and pay attention to special examples. Through observation, demonstration, analysis and discussion of the core structure of the sentences, let the students initially perceive and understand past participle and functions of relative pronouns and adverbs.
课后环节 Work in pairs. Activity 1: Match the sentence halves and rewrite each sentence beginning with a past participle. Activity 2: Complete the passage with the words in brackets in their correct forms. Finish the exercises using past participle used as adverbials. Practise using the structure in this unit.
作业 Rewrite the stroy on page 54. Make up some sentences about your feelings with past participles. Share the sentences with your friends. Consolidate the knowledge and skills students have learned in this lesson.
