一、课程标准
新课标要求八年级学生能在教师的引导和协助下，围绕相应的主题，理解日常生活中的简单语言材料，具备一定的获取和归纳特定信息或关键信息的能力，抓住要点；能读懂语言简单、主题相关的简短语篇，提取并归纳关键信息，理解隐含意义；有正确的价值观和积极向上的情感态度；能在学习过程中积极思考，主动探究，发现并尝试使用多种策略解决语言学习中的问题，积极进行拓展性运用。
二、学习内容分析
Section B阅读板块采用读前、读中、读后的过程性设计思路。2a为读前活动，通过排序任务激活学生的背景知识；2b呈现了一份有关“学生课余活动的频率”的调查报告，要求学生摘取报告中的数据信息，并以图表的方式呈现出来，侧重阅读策略和阅读速度的培养；2c-2d通过回答问题和转述数字信息的方式引导学生继续深入理解语篇，并关注了相关的语言表达；2e是读后拓展活动，让学生调查同学的课余活动方式及活动频率，并仿照2b中提供的示范做一个饼图。
三、学情分析
八年级学生经过多年的英语学习，有较强的模仿能力，也熟知多种英语听力策略，并具备了一定的英语口语交际能力。本课时的话题是课外活动，这与学生的日常生活息息相关，学生有话可说。另外，学生曾经学过个别频率副词，在本课可对频率副词进行复习与拓展，系统归纳总结其用法。

1. Language competence: Students are able to master words and phrases of this passage, and know the usage of frequency. 2. Learning capacity： Students master strategies of reading to get and process information, such as skimming, scanning and so on. 3. Thinking quality： Be able to analyze questions from the context and think about the deep meaning and intention of a passage. 4. Cultural awareness: Learn something from the passage: make use of free time reasonably and do free time activities that are good for our body and mind.

1.Students read and understand the passage and know the results of the proportion of different free time activities. 2.Students compare and think about the best way to relax among these activities and form good and healthy habits.
