一、课程标准
新课标要求八年级学生能在教师的引导和协助下，围绕相应的主题，理解日常生活中的简单语言材料，具备一定的获取和归纳特定信息或关键信息的能力，抓住要点；能读懂语言简单、主题相关的简短语篇，提取并归纳关键信息，理解隐含意义；有正确的价值观和积极向上的情感态度；能在学习过程中积极思考，主动探究，发现并尝试使用多种策略解决语言学习中的问题，积极进行拓展性运用。
二、学习内容分析
本单元是人教版 Go for it！教材八年级英语上册Unit4 .本单元核心语言项目是谈论偏爱并进行比较。本单元话题围绕 What’s the best movie theater 展开。Section A通过学生选择电影院，服装店，电台的话题，谈论对某场所或某事物的喜好，本课时(Section B 2a-2c)主要围绕“who’s Got Talent ”这个才艺表演话题而展开，谈论最喜欢的东西。通过阅读，做出选择，循序渐进，不断拓展，它是学生对Section A , Section B中所学知识的巩固、拓展与提升运用。本单元语法: 形容词，副词最高级的用法。
三、学情分析
本课授课对象为八年级学生，通过七年级的学习和阅读课训练，学生已经能比较熟练地掌握一些阅读的策略。他们思维比较活跃，乐于积极地参与到课堂讨论中。尤其本课时围绕才艺表演，贴近学生生活, 但学生程度不一，容易出现分化，需要通过合作学习来带动部分较差的学生。 通过第三单元的学习，大部分学生对形容词和副词的比较级和最高级有了初步的了解，为本节课提供了一定的语法知识储备，能阅读并理解带有比较级和最高级的简单文章，但对于回答相应难度的问题和组织文章还不得其法，所以还需要老师一步步引导。

Learning capacity： Students master strategies of reading to get and process information, such as skimming, scanning and so on. 3. Thinking quality： Be able to analyze questions from the context and think about the deep meaning and intention of a passage. 4. Cultural awareness: Learn something from the passage: face the talented people correctly and perform their talent shows in many ways.

教学重点 引导学生正确，快速地捕捉关键信息并进行归纳，运用比较级和最高级描述人物的才能。通过不断渗透阅读策略来帮助学生理解文章的内容。 （二）教学难点 学会描述一档节目并进行初步写作。
