◆Step 1　Leading in T:There are many things to learn in learning English.Can you think of some of them Ss:Yes,words,pronunciation,grammar,listening,speaking,reading,writing... T:What makes it difficult for you to learn English S1: S2: ... ◆Step 2　Work on 1a-1b 1.Ask the students to read the sentences in 1a,and check the statements that are true for them. 2.Ask the students to finish 1b. (1)Ask the students to think about the question “What other things are difficult for you ” and add the answers to the list in 1b. (2)Ask some students to say out their difficulties in learning English. (3)Ask some pairs of students to do like this: S1:I can't pronounce some of the words. S2:Well,some of the words can be difficult to read.You could ask the teacher or other classmates for help.Another good way is by listening to a tape and often repeating the difficult words and sentences. You can use the following sentences to give advice: You should memorize some new words by making word cards. Watching some English movies can help you improve your spoken English. Would you mind listening to some English songs to practice your listening Please have conversations with your friends and classmates in English as much as possible. Why don't you join an English club to practice speaking ◆Step 3　Work on 1c-1d 1.Ask the students to read the sentences in 1c and 1d,then prepare for the listening.( 2.Play the recording and ask the students to finish the task in 1c. 3.Play the recording again and ask the students to finish the task in 1d. 4.Play the recording for a third time and let the students fill in the blanks. 　　Paul looks 　　　　 because he is having trouble 　　　　 English.First he can't get the

◆Step 4　Language points 1.特殊疑问词+动词不定式 I don't know how to increase my reading speed. 我不知道如何提高我的阅读速度。 (1)动词不定式前面加疑问代词what,which或疑问副词when,where,how,构成“疑问词+不定式”结构。 (2)这种结构在句中可作主语、宾语、表语等。 Where to live is a problem.住在哪里是个问题。(作主语) She didn't know which bus to take.她不知道该乘坐哪路公交车。(作宾语) The difficulty is how to finish the work on time.困难是如何按时完成这项工作。(作表语) (3)“疑问词+不定式”结构常用于know,tell,wonder,ask,find out,learn,discuss等之后作宾语,其作用相当于宾语从句。 2.enough的用法 enough作形容词,在句中可作定语或表语。作定语时,通常放在所修饰词的前面。 I don't know enough words to write well.我认识的单词不够多,写不好文章。 enough作副词,可用来修饰形容词、副词等,通常放在被修饰词之后。 He ran fast enough to catch up with others.他跑得足够快,能赶上其他人。 ◆Step 5　Work on 1e 1.Ask the students to make conversations in pairs using the information in 1c and 1d.Ask several pairs to act them out. 2.Ask the students to write a report,talking about the difficulties,the advice and how to improve their English. ◆Step 6　Summary Get the students to have a summary. ◆板书设计 pronounce　　　　1.I don't know how to increase my reading speed.

教学反思 本节课是Section B的第一课时,在前面Section A会话课的基础上教会学生通过听力训练获取有效信息,从中了解解决英语学习困难的方法。通过课上交流表达和听力训练达到了这一要求。学生们由开始的沉闷到最后能灵活自如地表达。

Read the article in 2b quickly and find out the four habits of successful learners. 1.Creating an interest in what they learn. 2.Practicing and learning from mistakes. 3.Developing their study skills. 4.Asking questions. 设计意图引导学生运用scanning和skimming等阅读策略完成2b的阅读任务,了解文本信息,初步理解文章意义。

　2.connect...with把……和……连接或联系起来 The bridge connected our village with the town.那座桥把我们村子和那个城镇连在了一起。 3.keep doing sth.坚持做某事 Keep working hard and you can make it.继续努力,你会成功的。 4.But whether or not you can do this well depends on your learning habits. 但是你是否能把这做好取决于你的学习习惯。 (1)主语从句 句中whether or not you can do this well 是一个从句,作整个句子的主语,这种从句叫主语从句。单个主语从句作主语时,谓语动词用第三人称单数。 Whether they would support us was a problem.他们是否会支持我们是个问题。 (2)whether or not是英语从句的一个连词结构,意思和功能相当于whether,意为“是否”,常出现在宾语从句、主语从句中,whether or not也可以写作whether...or not,or not 放在句末。 I don't know whether or not I should believe him.=I don't know whether I should believe him or not. 教学反思 写作训练是本课时的教学重点,本课时的大部分时间都用在了写作训练上,因此提高了学生的书面表达能力。学生在课堂上也表现得较为踊跃,气氛融洽,有利于教学的展开。
