重点：掌握be动词一般现在时的基本用法。
难点：能熟练使用be动词的一般现在时的肯定句、否定句、疑问句及其应答他人与他人进行一定的交流。
教学突破： 通过教师的讲解，让学生总结规律，找到方法，再让学生举例，通过做练习来检查巩固。

Step I Lead-in (导入部分)
T: Hello! Boys and girls. Nice to meet you. Today we will learn the simple present tense of the verb to be .
Step Ⅱ Presentation
1. T: I am a teacher . What about you S: I am a student.
T: You are a student. What about your classmates S: They are students , too .
T: What about your father S: He is ….
T: What about your mother S: She is ….
T : What about Eddie S: It is a dog . (板书加粗线部分)
T: When we talk about facts and states , we use the simple present tense .
T: Look at the blackboard carefully and discuss in groups : Can you find out the rules
T: Good . 我用am ,你用are ,is 用于他、她、它，凡是复数也用are ，不能错来不能差。
2. T: If you are not happy, you say…S: I am not happy.
T: I am not happy. You are not happy. Now open your books and turn to page 11. Read the first and second tables.
读完后你能发现be动词一般现在时的否定句如何变化吗？(停顿)
很好。直接在be动词后加not。
T: Now can change the above sentences into negative sentences
